Tree Tutorial for cakes | Wired tree | Edible Tree Cake Topper | How to make edible cake moss

This tree topper looks absolutely amazing on a nature themed cake 🌳
I used 16 wires each measuring 12" in size. After it was completed measured around 7" in height. If you're working on a smaller cake you might need to cut the wires shorter. Although please bear in mind that when the wires are twisted the height does get a little shorter.
Wire gauge is 16
Divide the branches however you like. In twos or even threes. Branches aren't perfect. they're long, short, twisted...
I brushed the choc on the wires in layers. I let it dry and brushed over again. As the choc hardens it creates a beautiful bark texture.
The batter for the moss was poured into 3 cups even though theres only 2 shown.
If you're looking for a darker tree try dark choc for the trunk and branches and holly green for the moss.
I used Sugarflair gel colours for the moss
