The deaths are so painful, especially when Killmonger killed him with the spear. Awww, the Endgame death was heartbreaking.:( I remember people at my theater were crying. This seriously makes me so angry. First of all, I will never forgive Marvel for killing Tony off in Endgame-but at least it’s _understandable_ that they couldn’t think of a better way to end his story and felt like they had to kill him. Not excusable, mind you but understandable, at least. If they had to come up with another way to force him into retirement and bring his story to an end while actually leaving him alive, they would have had to get a lot more creative and apparently they were just too flat out lazy to do that. But when it comes to killing him in EVERY. SINGLE. DAMN. EPISODE. he appears in of the “What If…?” show, well now they’re just being plain cruel to their fans for literally no reason at all. Why can’t they show some multiverse variants of Tony Stark that _don’t_ die? I know they exist. With infinite universes, they literally _have_ to exist. There _have_ to be some where Tony Stark/Iron Man makes it through alive. So why not show some of those? The scriptwriters’ choice to kill Tony Stark off over and over again like it’s some kind of joke (it’s NOT funny!) is literally why I won’t watch the “What If…?” series. I absolutely refuse to watch it unless I hear about at least one episode where Tony Stark gets to live to the end of it. Until then, I won’t waste my time. I’m not going to let myself get attached to a show _knowing_ it repeatedly and flippantly kills off my favorite character.

To be fair, everyone _eventually_ dies. I’m assuming most Tony Stark variants are no exception, since he’s a normal human and not a god or an immortal. Some of his variants die earlier, others later-but of course they’ll die. He’s mortal. So by that logic, I absolutely _refuse_ to believe that every single variant of Tony Stark has to die without living a full normal (albeit mortal) lifespan. Tony Stark _dying_ might be an absolute point (assuming he’s a mortal human being in every universe, and there’s no universe where he somehow discovers the secret of immortality or something) but Tony Stark _dying prematurely_ or _dying young_ doesn’t necessarily have to be absolute. Hypothetically, there must be _some_ variants out there that survive long enough to retire comfortably, the scriptwriters just seem to be total a-holes who have something against actually showing those timelines to us.
