I think the model looks even prettier with that pale make up. Makes her skin look flawless and ethereal.

each additional step pulled the look together - not that I ever had any doubt. Marie Antoinette knew what she was doing, as every step was essential. that is the loveliest lip colour ever! this is probably the first and only time I've wanted to buy those mac 'toothbrush' makeup brushes...

You did such a wonderful job not only showing how this process would have looked but also in how you offered different bits of history and explanations about how this would have come about. Marie Antoinette is probably my favorite female historical figure. Her glamour, her classiness, the simple way in which she desired to live versus indulging in how she was forced to live in a gilded cage of etiquette, and finally the final tragedy of her thirty-seven years of life. If you're interested in the hair of this period, I suggest Will Bashor's 'Marie Antoinette's Head.' Some of the hairstyles were almost three feet high! Thank you for this video.

+Lisa Eldridge would she have applied her makeup herself or would a servant have done it?
@theboyintheair9 жыл бұрын
+Lisir Jones She would have had someone do it for her. But not a servant, probably a preferred make-up artist, she had a preferred hairdresser, or a less senior lady like the princesse de Lamballe, or the duchesse de Polignac. Dressing and making up the Queen was seen as a high honour to be given to the highest ranking aristocrat in the room.
