She never said, "Let them eat cake." Can't believe people still think she said that.

Came here to say something similar. It was reported by sources that were not close to the queen, whom were not speaking to her at that time, and which took every opportunity to slander her.

Its because,its they only thing they know about her and easy to remember 😂 probably couldn’t be bothered reading the actual story
@LinguisticG4m3rBoi_qy1yn28 күн бұрын
She was part of a smear campaign done by the rebels whom were accusing her of incest, assault and living luxury and not caring. In her defense she was a helpless pawn in the game of chess stuck there with no way to leave. They even forced her own son to testify against her as well. However the quote let them eat cake has been quoted in Jean Rouseeas' (I don't how to spell this one 😆) Confessions which has the phrase which was published over 20 years before Marie Antoniette allegedly said the quote and at the time the book was published she was 9.

He missed the most important part...ITS A REPEATER!!!! This pocket watch made in the 1850s is more difficult to produce than 99% of watches made today! The repeater itself takes over 12 years of training to understand how to build and over 300hrs just on that complication alone...This pocket watch is a modern marvel and most people cant understand the complexity that goes into them!

Why London and not Paris? London loves to display things that do not belong to them.
@RichardBarnett-hs1qy28 күн бұрын
So tell us who is the rightful owner? Museums show things all the time that do not belong to them. Have you ever heard of a traveling Van Gough exhibit?..... Or Salvador Dali paintings on loan? Even the gold Tutankhamen mask was shown in San Francisco. Why don't you tell us about the thief who stole the watch if you want to talk about things that do not belong to others.

it’s good someone found the very old delicate multi function watch once belonged to Marine Antoinette that was stolen and now recovered and put in a museum so everyone can see the very rare watch a never seen before piece of history and survived all these centuries and still function and works its amazing they made a pocket watch with all these features the museum will have to make sure this watch is under very close security so the watch is never stolen again 🫢🙃😧😲⏱️🧭
