One of my favorite poems because it is true. I was one of those girls, and it was thrilling and scary and amazing. The first time I read the poem it was as if someone had finally understood me. This poem makes me braver.

I read it for the first time today and while my situation isn’t *exactly* like the poem, it still effected me greatly. I saw myself in a poem and it’s beautiful.

This was something. Is this real? Did someone really make a poem on an experience I had thought was such a rare occurrence that I deleted it from my existence.. until now. And what a coincidence it is in a College English class that I find this poem.
