A mistress can NEVER sleigh a just queen! Every time Montespan thought she was being cheeky, Maria Therese owned her so subtly, effortlessly, and flawlessly.

Tru however if I remember correctly only one of his mistresses was not showing her respect and that was his main mistress hiwever when she fell from grase his last mistress/second wife payed great attension and made the king do that as well and she even mentiond it in public,I think Mainteion realy cared for the queen and the queen was greatful for that

@@xroyalteathe story of the black baby, Louise Marie Therese, is true. She had a royal pension and membres of the royal familly, including Maintenon, visited her in her convent. She had the name of the king and the queen. But nobody knows who were his parent. The 'suspect' is Louis.

She was a very strong woman. She endured her husband's infidelity, humiliation on his part, always behaved royally and did not lose heart. She clearly deserved respect.

I truly love that you made a edit about her!!🥰 Marie Therese is such an underrated queen and often overlooked in history. She was an incredible woman, even when she didn't have any political influence. She was a strong queen and when her husband constantly cheated on her she kept staying strong and tried to deal with it. I love that she now gets some remembrance and that she plays a huge role in the series. The serie shows that she has it often hard in her new life and the emotions she has to deal with. I find her a inspiration for the other French queens💕 Marie Therese is one of my most fav french queens beside Marie Leczinska and Marie Antoinette. I truly adored the edit you made about her! It's so lovely!💖😩

Infanta Maria Theresa (1638-1683) was the daughter of King Philip IV of Spain and Elizabeth of France technically making her a 1st cousin of Louis XIV. Although it was determined that she was going to marry Louis, she was taught no French. Then there was the issue of her appearance. She had inherited the Hapsburg jaw and had severe health problems. Still to ensure peace between the two nations Louis married Maria in 1660. Although Louis was never faithful to her he still respected her in her position as queen. He even reprimended Montespan whenever she humiliated the queen. The problem was the queen could never gain any supporter in court. She was almost uneducated, having only religious education. She could speak in no language but spanish and her french was very bad. Furthermore she surrounded herself with dwarves and dogs.

Little fun fact that you may or may not know: In Spain, the House of Habsburg is also known as “Casa de Austria” (the House of Habsburg is a German imperial dynasty where its royal status began in Austria).

@@shayvajasjeet6804 Maria Theresa of Spain became Queen Consort of France by marriage to her double first cousin, King Louis XIV of France. Anne of Austria, Queen Consort of France, wanted to have her own niece as a daughter-in-law as well as a wife for her own son, King Louis XIV of France. They were double first cousins via King Henry IV of France and his wife Marie de’Medici, Queen Consort of France, and King Philip III of Spain and his wife Margaret of Austria, Queen Consort of Spain. Note: Anne of Austria, Queen Consort of France & Philip IV, King of Spain, were already second cousins to their respective spouses, King Louis XIII of France and Elisabeth of France, Queen Consort of Spain (via Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I and Anne of Bohemia & Hungary).

She is part of the Habsburg dynasty which ruled over Spain as well as Austria, therefore she was Archduchess of Austria on top of being "Infanta" of Spain and Portugal and of course Queen of France by marriage. Hence why she’s named Marie Thérèse of Austria.
@BatkhuuChuluun3 жыл бұрын
Marie Thérèse is still technically Austrian/German patrilineally-speaking. Her royal house, the House of Habsburg, is of German/Austrian origin. Even if she is a Spanish Habsburg, calling her “Marie Thérèse of Austria” is still correct. She is not only a Spanish Infanta but she is also an Austrian Archduchess.
