The role of Philippe was such a complex brilliant one,expertly played by Alex Vlahos.He had a really interesting character arc that showed Louis up for being the petulant child jealous of the tiniest crumb of attention going to anybody else. Philippe and the Chevalier are seen to have an actual adult relationship,with all its ups and downs. This is rare on TV,let alone with 2 men or women.

Omg, I continue to be impressed with the way you’re making this! It’s like sort of magic! Music and lyrics perfectly combine with the scenes, I haven’t heard this song till now but it’s already in my playlist! I remembered the first season and got a bit nostalgic. As for the second one my favorite scene by far is “I’m sorry, Philippe. Destiny calls us to a greater mission”. I think it’s the first time when Louis calls Philippe by name. I also like how you combine “chair moments” on 02-12. You show that they’re so alike but at the same time so different from each other. “In two words “Bravo!” (c) :D Your projects inspire me and make me FEEL. Please more and THANK YOU for this! X

Thank you very much for your kind words. This song, especially the lines "We fight every night for something, when the sun sets we're both the same" , described the relationship so well, I just had to do it. The "chair moments" are a perfect example for that. Louis is wrong when he says to Philippe "You don't care enough". They both care, especially Philippe does. He would never admit it, but he worries a lot to keep Louis sane and grounded. And Louis needs Philippe as confederate and confidante. I love it in that favorite scene of yours, when Louis tells Philippe that he's going to war to flee from the nightmare he caused for himself. I just love that. Like with him calling his brother by his name for the first time, he also explains for the first time why must disappoint Philippe at this moment. He does not just order or yell. That's progress from season 1, where he just demanded loyalty. I'm thrilled to see where season 3 will lead us with the two of them. I'm very happy that we inspire each other to do more Versailles vids. It's great to enjoy your view of all things Versailles.

This show could easily been a weekly show. Why didn’t they do that? Would have enjoyed that and I’m sure we all would have done.

It wouldn't have been possible to film weekly shows. They only got to film in Versailles on one day a week when it was closed to the public. Also it cost a lot to shoot it and keep the quality high. They would not have made enough returns to cover costs.

Le série Française l Allée du Roi est de beaucoup Supérieur et authentique avec la musique d époque et des costumes extrêmement étudiés. Ici ce n est simplement une vue grand spectacle anglo-saxon de masse .Allez voir sur KZbin des extraits de l Allée du Roi et vous allez voir tout de suite la différence.

On peut aimer les 2. Quant aux costumes ceux ci sont les plus authentiques qui soient. Il faut voir cette serie comme on voit du Dumas. De l'histoire romancée et non du roman historique comme l'allée du Roi.
