I could be mistaken but French women don't seem quite as obsessed with aging as American women. They seem to embrace the fact that it's a part of life and growth and do it with as much grace as possible. I don't understand the obsession: aging is unavoidable. Take care of yourself as best as possible and you will look as good as you can for your age (sans surgeries). Marie-Anne is aging gracefully :)

My eyelids became so droopy, that my vision was impaired. In order to drive safely, I found an excellent surgeon to make the repair. I took him photos of me before, and asked that he would not make a drastic change-I wanted to see clearly, but not look different from my true self. I could not be more pleased with the result. Completely natural, no high arched eyebrows, no deer-in-the-headlights look. I have other droopy parts of my face, but I’m keeping it like it is. I’m 75 and I don’t want to look 35. Just the simple eye repair was all I needed to feel good, see well, and be confident. Like you, Marie-Anne, I’m a less is more person. Thank you for sharing your personal skin care program.❤️

I have not had a face lift, fillers or Botox. I'm 65 and have lines, wrinkles and turtleneck sweaters are no longer a good look for me! I have seen too many women fighting desperately trying to look "younger" and they end up looking unnatural. Skin too tight, false eyelashes, swollen lips - it's all a bit weird looking. If we are fortunate enough to grow older, we should try our best to do it gracefully and do what we can to stay age appropriately modern, neat, tidy and stylish, a la Marie-Anne Lecoeur!

I always thought you were my age (I’m just 47 years young 😸). My partner was watching the video next to me and he said-She is so beautiful and adorable. How old is she?- He couldn’t believe it. You look gorgeous Marie-Anne! But you know what? External beauty is an extension of the beauty you have inside you. And that’s what you irradiate, pure beauty. And well of course taking care also helps. I follow pretty much your same routine and I’m waiting for my Darphin to arrive! I will tell you how it works on me. Just to share with the rest of the audience, I exfoliate my face every two weeks with some bicarbonate, honey and olive oil. You must be careful not to scrub too hard as with any exfoliant. Then I rinse with cold water and apply a mask of whipped egg white. That helps tighten your skin. Then rinse again with cold water and apply a balancing tonic because bicarbonate changes your PH. I go for Caudalie Eau de raisin or Elixir de beaute (I can’t live without it). Then Nuxe (the original one, mixed with my moisturizer and some natural essential oils) and a sunblock. I have freckles too and I don’t want them to go! Hmmmm, I smoke when I am with a dear cousin once a month while we drink wine and listen to French singers but I think this is a perfect time to stop it at once. Besides, you never know how bad coul be just one cigarette for you! And well the results of taking care of my skin? I look 15 years younger than what I really am. Genetics have a big part here too but every thing counts. As I say this is the body and the skin we will live with forever so, let’s treat ourselves with love! A huge hug to you!

So, I’m going to keep using this product and keeping my fingers crossed for continued noticeably good results!

I've just ordered some Caudalie Teint Divin! I too can't bear the 'caking' appearance of foundation and prefer something lighter like a BB or CC cream. I'm lucky to have inherited good skin but don't fear getting older. Instead of 'anti-ageing' I try to focus on 'ageing well', by taking care of myself. I don't judge people who have face lifts or other facial surgery but I would never consider it. I appreciate your transparency about not having surgical interventions. As a 51 year old American woman I feel often like I don't know what I am supposed to look like as I age because all the women who are my age or older than I am get work done on their face. I don't judge others for their choices, we are all beautiful in our own ways and make the best choices for ourselves, but for me I am choosing to not have surgery. Like you, I am trying to focus on the things I put into my body to make it look better. Plus, all the money I would potentially spend on surgery I would rather spend on clothes. :) I also agree about makeup. I look better without it and not wearing it encourages me to take better care of my natural skin. I only like mascara and lipstick. So interesting you use EFT for your skin. So powerful. Thank you for this video. There's a KZbinr, Dr Eric Berg who talks about the loss of collagen as we age, and nutrients we can consume to keep our skin from aging. He says not to overdo the water consumption as there can be a loss of important vitamins and minerals, which was interesting. Unfortunately , in NZ we commonly have sun-damaged skin as we are often at the beach or outside playing sports, gardening, etc. The sun here, as you will remember Marie-Anne, is unreasonably hot and sunburn is easy to get! Europeans have much nicer skin than Kiwis, in my opinion, for that reason alone.

My moisturiser is homemade out of whipped coconut oil, vitamin E oil and lavender essential oil. I must try the cold water rinse. I have got a few blemishes from a little bit of acne in the past, but I don’t mind them. I hadn’t noticed your freckles but they are nice, but did you really have to show that picture of me in the mornings?! 🤣 No, I wouldn’t have a facelift or cosmetic surgery, unless I had severe scarring; I do have a facial scar from a car accident but it’s not very noticeable.

I agree that water is essential to skin and overall health. I also drink throughout the day. I believe that my active lifestyle and healthy diet are additional reasons why I have always looked younger than my age. (I hated that when I was in my 20s, but feel pretty good about it at 63, soon to be 64! ). Unlike you, however, my genetics predispose me to eczema and ichthyiosis (scaly legs and to a lesser degree, arms). I have to take particular care to keep moisturized, but it is a consistent effort for me. This past year, I have started using a dermaplane on my face once a week and that has been an amazing discovery for me! Thank you for sharing what you use. I will definitely look into these products!

This is wonderful advice, dear Marie-Anne! That is a compliment indeed and you don't need any facelift, you're always looking so youthful. I wholeheartedly agree that proper care, a healthy diet and good habits play their part besides having good genetics and growing up in healthy environment for which I'm also grateful to have been raised within lovely family members who taught me the importance of self respect. Speaking ill gossip about others, swearing and being toxic are detrimental to people's health and appearance besides the fact that it's inappropriate and inelegant. I always love the fact that you emphasise the importance of embracing our own beauty. I didn't like my freckles when I was younger and used to hide them under full coverage foundations but learned to love them many years ago, it's such a wonderful liberating experience. I've always loved french beauty care products, Vichy is one of my favourites and loved to know about your skin care routine with other french brands. It all resonates with me as I believe that beauty is ageless and a lady who ages natural and gracefully like French women do is chic. Your skin is lovely. Heavens no re a face lift. I’m sure you haven’t, I certainly haven’t. I need that Darphin. 👍 I’m 63, with a few more crinkled laugh lines and an annoying red broken blood vessel on my nose. That’s why I buy good concealer. 😁 I eat well, good fats from butter, fish and real meat and eggs. I noticed decades ago that elderly vegetarians I knew had aged faster than others who ate well and didn’t avoid fat or meat. I don’t smoke, am a redhead and burn easily so I stay out of the sun all my life and use spf religiously. I love good skincare and am extremely careful to gently remove my makeup every night. I noticed that up till about 45-50 my skin wasn’t much different from my peers same age. But SUDDENLY after that it was like my skin held up better than others who would tan or didn’t use spf or who didn’t use good skin care or pay attention to cleansing at night. I’ve taught my daughter and daughter in law this & my granddaughters are learning. If I prioritize the budget #1: spf I use mineral sunscreen by Josie Maran. It’s got a lovely Argan Oil base. #2: Bioderma gel cleanser followed by Bioderma Micellar water every night. Shiseido cotton squares are the best. #3: CeraVe PM lotion with niacin #4: Retinol cream- I used Neutrogena for years before getting a Rx Tretinoin.

I too use a flannel. I have been good at drinking my water and not so good too. Water certainly clears and makes my skin look much more hydrated and softer.

When I moved from the city to countryside my skin improved so much. I assume it is the cleaner air. Water, water, water! I rarely wear make up, and when I do it's minimal amount. No smoking, very little alcohol. I keep out of the sun as much as possible. Also, silk pillow cases are said to be good for your skin and hair too. Thank you for sharing you tips and secrets 💕

I'm lucky to have good skin at my age. I do drink a lot of Water and always wash off my makeup which isn't much anyway. Good info and video. A 52 year old though I was her age and I told her that I was 18 years ago! ❤

its not so bad getting older when you are healthy and full of life. no surgery for me thank you.....just turned sixty and I like to wash my face once a month with fresh lemon and sugar for a good scrub. it works. then I always use organic coconut oil and sometimes shea nut oil. I still have good skin. you are right about soda as it is terrible for health. thanks for a great video

I am 56 as well 😀 Have to admit that my skincare routine is very similar to yours Anne Marie 🥰 In Australia I always get a lot of compliments about my beautiful skin. Well I moved to Australia from Northern Europe 10 years ago. When I am asked - how you can have in your age such skin, my short answer is - I didn't see much sun in my life 🤣 English is not my first language so it sounds a bit funny but there's some truth. Australian women my age damaged their skin by excessive exposure to very high UV index sun. Only lately this awareness of sun and protection is popular. So my tips for no face lifts (I can't stand anything artificial).. First of all - yes genetics play a great role but it needs support and care. Moderate sun exposure (depends of place where you live), double cleansing (I also use muslin cloth and flannelette), masking 😁, natural organic skincare and water and good food for skin. What we eat is also very important. I am absolutely obsessed with New Zealand natural skincare Antipodes. And slowly also switching to natural perfume (essential oils, just made my signature perfume with perfumer), body care (yesterday made my body oil from Jojoba oil and essential oil blend), haircare etc Silk is another beauty trick - silk pillowcases and eye mask. And face massage with trendy Gua Sha 😀 Etc etc And Anne Marie I also love Nuxe and Caudalie! Happy that both brands I can buy in Australia. And sorry for my novel length comment 😂

I lived in France for 30 years, returned to Oz upon retirement. I also noticed my skin is much better than average Australian women, including my sisters. I think the sun - especially too much of it - plays a more important role than genetics when it comes to skin quality.

You look beautiful . I am 56 and I agree with everything you said. I love my freckles too. I will try the cold water. I make organic hibiscus tea and I drink it all day long with no sugar. I am working on my spiritual self this year and hopefully it will reflect on the outside too.

You look gorgeous. I am not sure it is your darker hair, your shorter hair or the products. You skin looks lighter and brighter. Thanks for sharing with us. I will try some of those products because I, like you, take good care of my skin and wash the same way you do.

Marie-Anne, you are the same age as my Mom, wvo did not have a facelift and looks just like you - just with some freckles. So it never came to my mind you could have had surgery. Not smoking or excessive tanning in summer made her age well.

Your skin is gorgeous! I am 10 years older than you and I have always been told I have very good skin for the same reasons as you. First it is due to genetics. I have also never used foundation, smoked, drugs or abused alcohol. I have freckles but I have never tried to hide them. I do get a little sun but not a lot. I don't like sunscreens but I do wear a hat and sunglasses. Also, I have always used white terry wash clothes to cleanse my face. For many years now I have just used a weekly apricot face scrub and daily cleanser and toner. Only mascara and lip gloss for makeup. My question for you is: Have you had any issues with facial or neck hair that required electrolysis? Plucking the hairs is just not working for me so I think I need a more permanent solution.

I have a Korean mother and Irish father who looked decades younger than their age when they passed and it was natural. My mother didn't get a grey hair until 54. I turned grey at 41 when my husband became terminally ill. All I do is wash my face with oatmeal soap 2-3 times, first with warm water and colder water the next two times. I use a Buff Puff, which is a nylon scratchy pad for the face and been using one since my 20s to help with acne. Once a week, I use an acne wash and I'm good. The past year I started using Neutrogena anti-winkle cream with a sunscreen of spf 20. Maybe 2-3 times a week, if I remember. Never had wrinkles to begin with but the very fine lines are gone. It costs $20 US. Makeup... at work just some powder, mascara and light brown eyeliner done finely. Goth makeup.... I'm darker complected than most Goths, so its just three shades lighter. Foundation with sunscreen, rice powder, black eye makeup and usually geisha red lipstick. Compared to other Goths, my makeup is rather lightly used. I do mix my foundation with a drop of cocoa butter oil to avoid a caked on look or created wrinkles. At 52, I'm gowing old disgracefully and am thin but not too thin. My legs look better than most in their 20s and I've become comfortable with my rectangular figure and know how to look my best with it. That said my skirts are usually knee length or just above the knee. I do dye my hair.

Yes! You are looking fantastic! I have been noticing a difference ever since your first Darphin exfoliant video. It is a funny thing about freckles. You have the cute kind that enhance your look and I think suit your animated personality. Mine are not so cute or compatible with my dramatic look. I am one of those women who is very plain without makeup but somewhat beautiful with it. Good thing I am a makeup artist! Re the undereye tapping helping with fluid retention, yes it does. Gentle taps beginning at the inner eye corner and slowly moving outward to the temples, down the sides of the face, down the sides of the neck all the way to the collarbones. These are the lymph channels and must be touched very gently, about the weight of a euro held in the palm. I will try the cold water splashes! Really enjoyed this video and noticed I was smiling back at you all the way through. Sending love back😘

Bonjour Marie-Anne! LOL, I'm with you on the frecle topic and absolutely love mine. I think they kind of act as a bronzer, so it is a win for me 😁 I think with water, quality products and positive energy, consistency in ones skincare routine really makes a difference. Never skip the crucial stages like cleansing and moisturising. Keep well, Deidre
