I have been studying various videos on the clear soap making technique, as I am no stranger to CP but am just now trying crockpot soap for the first time. My first attempt was a disaster. I wish I had seen this video before trying! This is the most explicit procedure, along with quantitative measurements, that I have run across so far. (Most of the other videos I've seen say cook on medium or something like that, but how do I know that my crockpot's medium is the same as theirs? You give precise temperatures, which is a great help.) Bien fait et merci beaucoup, Marie! By the way, I believe there is no such thing as too much color. There is either a light color or a dark color. Light is not better than dark or vice versa, it's just different. The final shade of magenta you ended up with is quite lovely.

You will have to try Vaibhav because I never try. I think it is compulsory to give the transparency. If you try, let me know the result ! Good luck !

Hi Dr Santhi. I don't write the quantity of lye and water to make sure everyone will use a lye calculator. Water as % of oil weight is 40%.

Marie, here in America I don’t think we have 94% alcohol. Did you buy this at a store specifically that sells liquor? I would be interested to know. I would live to try this soon.

Maybe it would be easier for you to fin Ethanol. I bought mine in our liquor store in Canada. The useful ingredient is Ethanol

Marie Nadeau thank you soapy Sister! So it needs to be 94% or greater?
@MarieMousse6 жыл бұрын
I saw some people using 190 Proof grain alcohol. We don't have that here, maybe you do. I don't think it has to be exactly 94% BUT I never tried anything else !

Marie Nadeau I researched it. It has to be the 190 proof. They make one less than this, but 190 is the closest. Thank you!!!

oh my good lord you are so cute. thanks for sharing, but you forgot how much lye you used
@MarieMousse5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Michel. I didn't forget the lye. I just didn't include so soapers will run it through a soap calculator. I realized not everyone does it and it is a must !
