Journey through the Marienburg Kingdom with me as I search for hidden geocaching treasures and make my way to the Marienburg Castle to rescue the beautiful Princess Desi Cake!
It’s up to me to cross the Giftener lake, find 3 Geocaches, and hike 18.7 kilometres to the Marienburg Castle where Princess Desi Cake is waiting on me to rescue her! Can I make it? Journey with me through the Marienburg Kingdom, and find out… and no, this isn’t Super Mario Brothers… you’re watching Adventure Time with Robert!
Particularly popular with wind surfers and sailors, the Giftener lake is a quarry lake that lies between Sarstedt and the Marienburg Castle. At exactly one kilometre long it’s not the biggest of lakes but if I wanted to rescue the princess, I was going to have to cross it.
Built between 1858 and 1867, the Marienburg Castle was a birthday present gifted by King George of Hannover to his wife - but today for this video, it belongs to Desi.
The Calenberg ruins were once a medieval castle built in the year 1292 here in central Germany. Originally built as a water castle, it was converted into a fort at the beginning of the 16th century. Today, it still stands as ruins with underground vaults.
Storm the castle with me and help rescue Princess Desi cake!
