Marienburg Lore Total War: Warhammer

The name's of the districts in Marienburg are all in Dutch where as the rest of the Empire keeps a more German spelling. So I'm guessing they are based on the United Provinces of real history?

Not entirely Venice, I believe that Remas is supposed to be Venice or at least in a location relatively similar to Venice in our world. While Marienburg has a more Dutch like naming convention and is most likely in a location similar to the Netherlands in our World. Along with the titles they use which are a lot like those used by the United Provinces.

The Elfsgemeente is several islands that act as the high elven embassy to Marienburg. It is a closed quarter, with the fortified wharfs and holds of the elven trading interests. Outsiders are not allowed in the "Elf quarters", a few buyers are invited to the bidding on elf goods. The wharfs primarily service elf fleets, from the old illustrations it looks like they have mastered 18th century clipper-equivalents. The elves and Marienburg both enjoy their mutual monopoly out of this deal. The other foreign quarters are more reasonable. Cathay, Nippon and others have embassies in the city. The high elves are practically allied though, I'm not sure if this is represented in Total Warhammer 2.

Just a minor correction, the High Elves do have various other colonies and it posts scattered around the world. I think Marion burg is the only Empire city to have a sizeable Elven community though. Also the js in Dutch are silent.

Love the lore video's. Oh and since you seemed to struggle with the word "wijk" ( dutch for "neighborhood" or "district"), The "ij" in dutch is always pronounced as the "ei" in Reikspiel. Keep up the lore.

Nice video, a little correction though: high elves have a few more outposts outside of ulthuan (fortresses protecting sea trade routes, can't remember names but can be looked up in their army book)

You guys should check out a new mod I downloaded the other day for The Empire. It's called The Empire of Man mod it gets more in-depth with the civil war and you actually have to make serious decisions based on the other Empire factions and the Elector Counts. Like you can't just declare war on any Empire faction you have to have a legitmate reason and have to take into account how it will affect the Elector Counts. There is so much more to this mod then I am telling you guys should check it out, adds so much immersion to The Empire campaign.

Carlos Robles the first everchosen was belakor, he became immensely powerful but in his greed for power he fell to demon hood, craving power and ultimately fell from his title as everchosen as he sought to become a demon prince and as you may know once you become a demon prince you gain great power but you are bound to serve the gods forever as you are part demon, archaon however has declined the offer of demon hood every time the gods offer it as he is aware of what will happen if he does. He is loyal to the gods but he wants freedom and doesn't want to become a puppet
