Samuel hands you your rifled musket. You’re starting to feel it. Everything is slowing down, I am calm, holding my musket steady. I see 5 red coats round the corner. The hammer ignites the powder, sending a slug down my rifled barrel. The hit is clean and deadly. My compatriots’ shots strike true as well. One lobster back remains, he drops his musket and runs. This was our cue, we disappear into the alleys to evade reinforcements. We will fight another day.

My little sister was diagnosed with brain cancer at 12 years old. (surgery and treatment worked she is alive and well at 32yrs now) She was always a little chunky, but a year after her diagnosis chemo and radiation had turned her into a skeleton because she had no appetite and almost everything she did eat would either hurt her stomach or come back up. She was prescribed "Marinol" which was a small round pill of thc dissolved in sesame oil. My parents never told her what it was just that it was supposed to help her eat. The first time she took one, an hour later she was giggling and ate 3 bowls of cereal in a row and just said laughing, pain free and with with joy "I don't know why, but I am HUNGRY and can actually eat!" I am a little bit older and my parents are cool, we were all in the other room laughing about it and all so happy our Katie could eat again! It's both safe fun and a life saving medicine.

@@jackkahn2532 The problem is you need research to find out how it works, how the best dosage is, what side effects are and so on. I am all for "grow your own medicine" but there is plenty that can go wrong with that, nature has a lot of remedies that work, if applied the right way, that can cause havoc down the line if done slightly wrong, like for example, loss of life. Problem is, research needs money, if you cannot patent it the private sector will not do it, so the gouvernment needs to fund the research (or we need to collect a few millions over go fund me....) I would use myself cannabis if i see the medical need, sure, but cannabis has a lot of potential to develop cures outside of what we know today, and it has side effects too we need to know about (no medical drug that has an effect comes without side effect, that is kinda an iron rule in medicine)

Here in California, in a tiny town on the central coast, I have three dispensaries within a 10 minute drive. One of the big issues of the anti-weed crowd, before we legalized, was that kids would be sneaking in and be buying most of the weed. From my observations, the average age of the people I see buying weed is about 50, with LOTS of people much older. No kids running around that I could see. Don't let the anti-weed folks pull that argument on you if your state is contemplating legalizing. My bong is sitting on the living room table, and I don't worry about opening my front door if someone knocks. It was silly that it was ever illegal. The Feds need to catch up, but with the old clowns in charge, they much prefer to take large donations from Big Pharma to keep it illegal.

The reason the "declare illegal income" trap works so well is that *not* declaring it _also becomes a crime._ I mean, if you don't fill out part of your tax forms, that's tax evasion. If you do fill that part out, you're admitting to illegal income. It's genius.

To be clear, though: The government cannot prosecute you for "doing crimes"; they have to actually specify what they're prosecuting you for. And the IRS does not require you to tell them *how* you made money illegally, just *that* you have money illegally. So you're not actually confessing to anything in a legal sense. That being said, if you acknowledge a large amount of illegal income on your tax return, that will definitely increase law enforcement interest in you.

_"It's the same here in Europe."_ Not really, especially not in Germany and most certainly not in Bavaria. Sure we don't have people spending the rest of their life in prison over weed, but there's basically been zero progress on the legalization front. The recent change, to allow for "medical use", is something that was supposedly already in effect for years, the only reason this latest change in law happened is because the German version of the supreme court gave out more and more licenses for sick people to grow their own weed. The German government couldn't tolerate that, so this recent change in law happened and with that, they also removed the license for growing your own. Now people will be forced to pay inflated prices for weed at pharmacies which can't even tell them if it's sativa or indica their getting. The vast majority of German physicians and pharmacies are utterly clueless about the differences in strains and cannabinoids, heck pretty much the only research done is on how cannabis is triggering psychosis, basically regurgitating outdated reefer-madness cliches. The German drug-commissioner is still staunchly anti-weed, while at the same time proudly tweeting pictures of her booze collection, fucking drunk hypocrites.

I hope Attorney General Jefferson Sessions does not get the federal government to crackdown on state legal medical marijuana. Also, do not send people to jail or give them harsh punishments for using recreational marijuana which is illegal according to federal law(Controlled Substances Act). However, U.S. state recreational marijuana legalization is worth a federal crackdown because it is not a state issue it is a threat to national security. Criminal cartels, gangs and other types of criminals are exploiting U.S. state recreational marijuana legalization because of its additional access to recreational marijuana. They produce it in places like Colorado, Washington and so on and traffic it around the United States, causing crime. (The Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado The Impact Volume 4: Page 115): Criminal organizations exploiting recreational marijuana legalization(Amendment 64) in Colorado by operating multiple "sophisticated residential grows." Residential grows are allowed under Amendment 64 and the citations explains it was part of examples of “Colorado marijuana” being used by criminals. (The Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado The Impact Volume 2: Page 102): A outlaw motorcycle gang exploited recreational marijuana legalization: "The driver of the vehicle was employed as a “marijuana trimmer” at a warehouse in which marijuana plants are cultivated. Denver P.D., in conjunction with DEA, subsequently served three search warrants at three different warehouses in the city of Denver.” Then it goes on to say they were “profiting from liberal marijuana laws”. Cultivation operations are perfectly legal in Colorado because of recreational marijuana legalization and that gang of criminals exploited it. (The Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado The Impact Volume 5: Page 4): Hundreds of felony arrests of criminal organizations operatives and individual criminals caught illegally selling Colorado marijuana in and out of Colorado. (The Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado The Impact Volume 5: Page 122): "Texas Trio Charged with Murder during Marijuana Robbery: Three individuals from Texas were charged with first-degree murder while attempting to rob David Gaytan in May 2017. The shooting that lead to the death of David Gaytan occurred at a mobile home park in Lightner Creek, Colorado. District Attorney Christian Champagne, in a response to the shooting, stated, Colorado voters have clearly stated they are in favor of legalized marijuana... which makes the state a target for people with nefarious intent from other states. It’s a problem; I don’t know where the solution is”.

@ Mene Tekel: Because opium is immensely addictive and oftentimes when it is used too often patients become dependent on it. Opium is alright for short-term conditions but that man's PTSD will never truly go away. Marijuana, on the other hand, has almost no addictive qualities to it and thus can be taken for long stretches of time with far less negative effects.
@John-wb1ny7 жыл бұрын
There are very few scientific studies that help prove the point that weed helps PTSD. All the information that is available comes from personal testimonies so who knows if that guy is lying or not. John's episode really only has one good point and that is it takes way to long get approval from the federal government to have a license to test marijuana. So it's understandable why the federal government doesn't give out medical marijuana because in all reality we have no idea of the long term affects.

And here I am, watching this in a state that recently decriminalized it, smoking some weed that I ordered on an app and had delivered to my house in 45 minutes. Things can be pretty ok sometimes.

It's always bothered me. Name a violent crime associated with marijuana not associated with it being illegal. Now name a violent crime associated with alcohol.
@Neodova7 жыл бұрын
Lu Sapphire and the Muffin Button Band I would say property theft and bring up all those damned lighter thieves :) . But in all seriousness I could see crimes being committed to pay for weed. But that's not because of weed itself that would be caused by previous mental instability or an incredibly weak will and a poor train of decisions. Ya know.... the kind of isolated cases that are complete outliers from the norm.

Neodova But it'd also be cheaper if legal, correct? And an addict is just as likely to steal to buy booze, right?

The Good News Channel First, I'm sorry to hear that happened to her. Was she ok? Second, exactly what I mean. Not to mention all the domestic violence attributed to alcohol reported on a daily basis. But when you're high, you just get slow and get the munchies. Hell, you're less likely to try to pull anything because you'll be way too paranoid. But alcohol is legal, and marijuana still isn't. One causes violence. One causes Dorito's.

Weed is dangerous. If you consider an increased appetite, increased happiness, increased humor, and increased ability to sleep and reduced stress and anxiety are dangerous. Also, I suppose that cancer-fighting properties are considered dangerous as well.

The danger weed poses is in young people under 23-27 and when someone is driving intoxicated under the influence of weed and the reason for young people is because it cuases short term memory problems. Otherwise it's not addictive or deadly and should be legalized, regulated, and taxed as any other legal drug in the country at the medical level first and if agreed with on the recreational level as well.

aghostdream: Take a stance against recreational marijuana legalization because it continually help criminals by getting them access to a supply of marijuana. For example, a drug gang exploited recreational marijuana legalization according to (The Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado The Impact Volume 2: Page 102). This example proves recreational marijuana legalization continually helps organized criminals which increases criminal activity.

+PREMISE Is your concern ending the drug war or keeping law abiding citizens from a plant that they love?
@steelman15067 жыл бұрын
+PREMISE I guess just answer one Question. Do you want us(marijuana advocates) on your side? Because I won't join a cause demonizing my homeopathic cure to insomnia. Asking me to do that is asking me to live an extremely unproductive life. There are several other ways to crack down on illegal markets. And I'm 100% in favor of ending the drug war. I'm just not willing to sacrifice my sanity and sleep to do it. Insomnia will NEVER be approved for medical use. It's recognized as useful, but only given to PTSD patients. So can't you make this one concession? Can't you help us accomplish our goals and yours? You obviously don't think pot is inherently bad. You want the same thing as me. I want the end of the drug war, same as you. I WILL NOT sacrifice my sleep for that. But I can get behind a Reformation movement to both legalize it, and place severe restrictions on growing amounts and transportation.

The US drug scheduling makes my brain hurt... S1: marijuana, heroin, LSD, ecstasy, mushrooms S2: cocaine, meth, oxycodone, Adderall, Ritalin, and Vicodin S3: Tylenol with codeine, ketamine, anabolic steroids This is some really twisted shit. IDK how you still allow this, as people.

Honestly, I've always just ignored it. Controlling my seizures has always been a higher priority than what the idiots who organized all that bull think. Like the veteran said at 9:50, I'll be a criminal, fuck it. If not having to worry about whether or not I'm going to wake up in the floor bleeding from my chin because I had a seizure while I was asleep and fell off the bed and busted my chin on the bedside table makes me Scarface, say hello to my little friend!

To be fair to Nixon (something I never thought I'd say), the "puss" meant the "face" back then. It never _stopped_ meaning that, really, like a "sour puss" is someone with a grumpy "sour" look on their face.

Came back to this video today, 2/23/21. I've been arrested for marijuana possession twice and nearly lost all my federal funding to go to college. Instead, I graduated top 3% of my class with a 3.96 GPA and 5 honors. Yesterday, my state of New Jersey officially legalized. Feels good man.

My grandparents literally had a two meters tall weed bush in their garden, which was technically illegal, but most people don't care as you can go 10 km north and it isn't anymore. Inspection literally told my grandfather to maybe move the plant, because they were tired of having to keep their eyes covered in the garden. My grandmother also got a tattoo for her 80th birthday which were some kind of berries and marijuana on her right arm (she could choose that tattoo, but me and my 3 brothers sponsored it)

I have subscribed and clicked the notification bell, however, every time I get a notification of a new video having been uploaded it gives me a message that 'the uploader' has not approved viewing in my country. It would be really nice if you could share your latest content with New Zealand as I'm sure many are a great fan of your on-point-humor. Thanks !
