The black singer is Claudia Fontaine who sang backing vocals with Caron Wheeler (Soul 2 Soul) for Elvis Costello when he came out with "Every Day I Write The Book "; Also The Special Aka with "Free Nelson Mandela ":.She was very busy in the 80's and 90's singing with virtually everyone and sure she's still on the music scene. She was in "Calling Your Name 2.Love Marilyn bk then and his new music's sounding good now. I'm glad he's ok and trying music again.

always prefered this video version than the other one, a very underated song for the time, with some great vocalists and the star himself Marilyn.

I remember this song from back in the day, it's still good. Recently watched 'Worried About The Boy", just mentioned as it's about Boy George's life, but heavily features Marilyn (they lived in a squat together for some time). Made for BBC tv in 2010, recommended, it's very good, and is available on dvd. (Mine came with a free Culture Club cd!) Totally brill!

Marilyn is on twitter and was doing a college course in England last I heard. His pop career was brief but he made a few catchy little numbers despite a not too great voice. He was very much of his time alongside Boy george. LOL that black backing singer sang for everybody in the 80s. She's in tons of UK videos from back then.

Thank You! I suddenly jumped back in the eighties!! The only thing I don't get: why is this a "Gay video version"?? Could it possibly be straight? :)) Happy I heard again of Marilyn. I wish Maz ALL the best: good voice, good look, good good!

What happened to him is what happens to most musical artists: Time moves on, musical tastes change, and you live your life. Nobody stays on top forever.

A very negative reply from someone who doesn't know Maz's incredible vocal range. I have been in the music business for many years and have worked with many incredible artists, so I know what I speak of. If you had ever heard him live, or listened to his entire catalog of work, you wouldn't dismiss him with your insults. Don't confuse your personal taste with range or talent. And he wasn't riding on George's anything. As a matter of fact, he didn't have CC's support system, and he STILL made it.

@MARILYN I swear some people don't understand how/why videos were even made, back in the 80's. Do they even make videos in 2020? Back in the day you and Boy did some great vids!! (I assume before you guys started to hate each other) ?? People are so dense, they don't know that the US and Great Britain are very closely connected. Videos are just meant for you to enjoy the music, and buy the song:) Just seeing YOU in that video again, made me happy, for 1 day, first time in 5 months. Gimme a Break. Pick up book book dumba@@.

are you him? his mother? cant think why else you'd be so deluded. he did not have a sensational voice LMFAO. It was weedy and thin with no range whatsoever. He could only sing very simple songs. I liked Calling your name & Baby u left me but theyre hardly pop classics and were only very hits. In the scheme of things he was a very short lived pop star who never really took off or made a living from music. Truth is he was riding on Boy georges coattails. Bye.
