Compare to the girl in Blonde by Netflix, she does looked much more alike with Marilyn! So far this movie is my most favorite marilyn’s life adaptation movie. Their cast was perfect!

He had retired & wanted her to be a housewife , Joe DiMaggio got 5 years of therapy & never got over how awful he was , he was back in touch in her final years . The film she turned down was called “ pink stockings “ it was awful , good for MM standing her ground

This is far better than “ Blonde “ I’m a huge fan of MM & have been for years , like my parents were 😘
@classiclife72043 жыл бұрын
While I didn't like this movie on the whole, it did get the DiMaggio stuff right, and was one of the first to really do that realistically - and without turning him into a movie psycho villain. It boils down to this: if he wanted a nice traditional Catholic lady to cook for him all day, he shouldn't've married Marilyn Monroe. Well, may they both rest in peace.

Do you want a man that physically assaults you the way he does her? Joe may have loved Marilyn but he was also a manipulative control freak who had a wicked temper. The physical abuse is the reason as to why she divorced him. No woman deserves that.

@lollybott15566 жыл бұрын
Reneé 》...however Joe was no more manipulator than others against Marilyn. He certainly did not need his money like Miller .. anyway DiMaggio was definitely the right man for Norma Jean more than for Marilyn. They were only at the wrong time of their lives / careers.And however as wrong, ignorant and excessive it may seem to slap his wife to the wife who"offends" his mother or shows her pants to everyone / half the world, in the 50s it was not something so unusual or absurd. Joe will certainly be wrong in the ways but I think he was the only one to love her like woman humanly and to go beyond the diva.. 😞😓

I think she embodies alot of her mannerisms but i think she overdoes it of the way she spoke in movies, rather than how she spoke in interviews or real life. Its a bit lower, not as fast paced with a sence of melancholy. Not at all as cartonish like this. She had a natural charm where as here she sounds like she is talking through clenched teeth in an SNL sketch.

Marilyn Monroe didn't really talk the way they making her look in her Biography Movie. Marilyn is smart. Joe did love her to want to have children with her. Joe treatment, he gives her is like....being her Father & Lover. He can't be both. He's the Lover to Sex Her & Care For Her. He's Not her Father to control- tell her what to do & give her spankings. I felt the same way as her, to still work Not just be a Stay-Home- Wife with children. Marilyn NEVER had Children. It's about what she wants too. Joe was just Selfish wanting her ONLY to HIMSELF tied down to him. Marilyn did the Right Things to be Safe by leaving. RIP Joe🛌💐 & Marilyn🛌💐😉🌈💯⭐
