Never ever heard this song during the 80s, but discovered it some weeks ago and can't get enough of it. It has everything that made 80s music special: Great voice, great guitar work and some really unusual outstanding chord progressions, which I really like as a progressive rock and metal fan. The whole song sounds and feels like it is from am 80s soundtrack like Rocky or Top Gun. I can clearly see Sly driving through the night in his car to the song.

I'm going to apologize up front for the length of my comment. I wasn't a big MTV fan back in the old days, but this song made me spin like the Warner. Brothers Tazmanian Devil cartoon character. I was blown away to find this on KZbin as it was a freakin' fantastic song. I play bass and I was learning to play six string guitar for fun, but when I heard this song it made me become very serious about learning to play. Ms. Martin was the British Pat Benatar to me and needless to say she had me doing backflips. I need to find this on cd so I can blow my mind again some 40 years later...holy moly this kicks arse!!!!!!! Thank you Marilyn! I have found out that I was wrong when I called her a British Pat Benatar...she's a good ol' American... ...me be dumb.

For some reason this morning I thought of "Who was that singer who had a popular song where the video was a ripoff of The Hunger?" I couldn't remember her name, but I did also remember that her biggest hit was the duet with Phil Collins. And here it is.

I LOVE the subtle hints (some not so subtle imo) that she's a vampire. Amazing song and wonderful video! I miss the 80's terribly! Was a wonderful time! 😎👍 btw she did another amazing song off the Streets of Fire OST called Sorcerer (written by Stevie Nicks) and I actually like Marilyn's version more, which is saying something! Check it out 👍
