Marilyn was so nervous during this interview bc her and Arthur had just witnessed a serious car accident that involved a papadazzi, apparently she was trying to take a photos of Marilyn and Arthur but drove too fast in a road curve and crushed into a tree, she flew off the car, Arthur went to a nearby house to ask for help and as witness tell, Marilyn was in total shock and stayed still in the car watching the situation. Later on she felt very guilty bc the woman died trying to take a picture or her, that’s why she’s so nervous and off.

So many comments here about how fragile she was, a little doll. It's absolute nonsense. You don't get to the top of Hollywood and stay there by being fragile. She was tough and certainly had inner strength. She knew what she wanted and obtained it. It was the stardom that eventually destroyed her, as its a rare person who can survive that pressure cooker for long.

She wasn’t a little doll but she was fragile emotionally towards the end of her career. She was haunted by the fact her mother had mental health issues. She wanted stardom but I don’t think she was prepared for the level of intrusion into her life. The fact her anxiety was so great that she couldn’t get out of her trailer for hours and left actors and crew waiting on the set is not the actions of a confident woman. She was plagued with confidence issues and bouts of depression which heightened her anxiety.

It is quite eerie that both Marilyn and Princess Diana passed away in the same month, August, especially considering the significance of their birthdates - Marilyn on the 1st of June and Diana on the 1st of July. There is an almost surreal quality to the personas they projected in front of the camera, but beneath the surface, their remarkable vulnerability shone through. This is what makes women relate to them and men admire them; it's a quality that resonates with nearly all of us.

Before her marriage to him, she was beautiful and vibrant like in the movie The Seven year itch but after the marriage, she seems so miserable and sad like in the movie, Some like it hot and the Misfits. He was horrible to her during filming of The Misfits. He also refused to go to Marilyn's funeral.

It is so sad to see the most beautiful woman in the world silenced by tyrants who are dead and have not been punished Look at the sadness in her eyes! Look at her lack in the look Look how insecure it was and needed affection But once the powerful silenced the woman who was the greatest symbol in the world. She brought so much joy, she was exploited and there was no justice to condemn those who killed the most beautiful woman in the world. Very unfair! The only man who love Marilyn Monroe Joe DiMaggio that love until after death and its end of life

Geeze Louise... she had multiple affairs with marred men. Give her some credit, she knew what she wanted and got it when she wanted it.

@@ericadams1317 shut up. she’s not some perfect angel on Earth. She’s done shitty things too. She even cheated on her fiancé with his best friend.

@@jorawesummme609 I don't discard her mistakes But surely it was used by everyone. Until today her image is sold. So throughout this whole story she was wronged.

Joe DiMaggio was forced by the film directors to set it aside After all to the world of Glamor she was a moneymaker so love was not important. In turn, she had a contract and was obliged to fulfill

Her energy amd expressions are incredibly beautiful. That is what made her famous. That beauty beyond physical. I don't know why she looks so anxious and scared thou, does anyone know what happened? I cant understand the interview

Did u read the comments here? People write that exactly before the interview Monroe and her husband witnessed the car accident where the journalist died trying to take Marilyn's photos.. so that's why she was so anxious

Every man she hooked up with was a father figure . She once said that she used to fantasize that Clark Gable was her father when she was a child .Unusual thing to say when Judy Garland had a crush on Gable growing up

Interestingly people in my time could only comment on Marlyn's beautiful face but fail to pay attention to Miller's beautiful mind and value! It was not Arthur Miller stansing by Marlyn Monroe, it was the other way round by the values of their time unlike the superficial values of this period!
