@gulekech30182 жыл бұрын

@AnnaTheIcon21 күн бұрын
@@rijoenpial I mean, this is the case for many actresses but Marilyn had a very unique genius. Her relationship with the camera was unlike anybody before or since. Many try to replicate it, but it is impossible. I do agree Rita was a force of nature, but so was Marilyn, she was a perfectionist. One of the things about her was she wanted so badly to be the best, so much so that she tortured herself over it to the point of exhaustion because she never felt like she deserved to be where, and what she was. This I think played a part in the performances she ultimately gave the camera, and is one of the components that make her impossible to replicate as it came from a depth of herself that only she could know.
@rijoenpial20 күн бұрын
@AnnaTheIcon Don't get me wrong, Marilyn was stunning and the precursor of the modern standard of beauty... I just never liked her histrionics, her constant pouting lip, even though that was understandably her trademark... And yes, she was well read, well educated, and I am sorry we never got to see that cultural, intellectual side of her more often! Despite her forced histrionics, Marilyn was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women ever to grace the celluloid!
@sew_gal734014 сағат бұрын
@@rijoenpial she is beautiful and charismatic and lovely to look at but there is no intellectual side to her at all. countless books have been written about this and many people have spoken about meeting her and all of them have said she was a bit empty up there but thats part of her charm and probably the reason why she was such a sensation. We dont need to force people to be "smart" we should just be ok with accepting others as they are, she was a beautiful thing and thats all.
Finally I get what the hype is about and why everyone is obsessed with her. I don't care how hot she is or how famous her acting got her or how tragic her life was. This is talent. This is beautiful. What I haven't seen

She was so beautiful and talented. Yet she never found the lasting love she desperately wanted. The men in her life wanted to be with her, but weren’t strong enough to deal with her fame and accomplishments. If it’s true that the “studio” forced her to get abortions, I can’t imagine the pain she endured. They created the persona she became. There’s a scene in the movie “My Week with Marilyn” when she says “I’ll be her” as some reporters and photographers show up and she puts on the pout and strikes a flirty pose. That scene broke my heart! I think women are obsessed with her because we want to “mother” her, love her and wipe away her tears and take away her pain like we would a child.

Although parts of her vocal were either speeded up or slowed down her diction and pathos were right on the mark . One second of loss of awareness and the scene would’ve been laughable . Her concentration in acting out the song ) while filming , lip singing to a pre recorded track , it even more difficult and takes more skill . She was a take orders woman and wasn’t able to have creative control of how the scene was shot . She may have had ideas but once rolling she had to convey and does in a very difficult scene to pull off . The guitar , movement , and no cut sways . She made it look easy . Not a singer she conveys everything and more which probably went over the heads of many . She’s the silver dollar changing hands , waiting and hoping it changes her life . She brought many layers to the scene . So under rated as an actress everyone couldn’t get past her beauty . Her charisma leaks off the screen . I wonder if she’d be surprised that she is celebrated as much today if not more so . Haunting song that showed her depth as a human being . a Judy garland without the singing voice communicating the randomness of life when one has little control . Today she’d have much more control but even a star in that decade really did not - she pushes through and makes the scene unique . If anyone questions why she was such a big star , they should watch this .

Those were the days when voice dominated over music
@colega234 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong, I think that the voice plays an important part in the music itself, but the music itself doesn't need vocals. In those times, the voice STARTED to dominate the music in general, 'cause there wasn't anything interesting in the sound. Classical music didn't need a woman or a men singing. The instrumental is way more important than the voice, without the sound, the songs will be just ... acapella or somethin'. And we souldn't even talk about lyrics, 'cause they're nothing. You could say "but without the lyrics, the voice wouldn't exist in music", yeah, but our voice can make plenty of sounds, without the lyrics ... it wouldn't make sense, but it could work. What I'm trying to say, is that music can work just fine without someone's voice, simple.

Marilyn definitely has the star power and X factor- talent, beauty and charisma to make you want to watch and listen. That is why she was loved by so many people, but unfortunately in real life no one could really win her over and make her heart grow ❤😢

Мелодика песни перекликается с мелодией Нино Рота из филма Ромео и Джюльета. Какой красивый голос у Мерилин!

Great legendary Preminger Western with the great Marilyn Monroe and Robert Mitchum. One of my favourite Westerns. Impressive, wonderful Song one silver dollar by Marilyn Monroe. River of no return the title Song also by Marilyn. RIP both of this great actors. Thanks alot for uploading. Best regards from Austria 🇦🇹
