"Some like it hot" non so quante volte l'ho visto, ho perso il conto.

It was her final photoshoot by a guy called Bert Stern in 1962 two months before she died. She was not sad at all. The character she portrayed for that image is supposed to be ‘Dark’ & ‘Melancholic’ that’s why she appears to be sad. In other pictures when she was more of herself she looked happy and radiant (please check the Book published in the 80s entitled ‘The Last Sitting’ 1962 by Bert Stern)

Contrary to the other comments, her eyes were not without spark here, she was not old, she was not down yet. She was about to rise to her greatest height, and show the world what Norma Jean could do in her middle age and someday, as an old woman. She was an ingenious actor, deeply talented and gifted, just imagine all the roles that she would have fought for and won. She was a survivor. If she had not been murdered- and she was- we would have witnessed the beginning of an acting dynasty, perhaps she would have begun her own school, or studio. She had brilliance to pass on to a new generation, and she was generous enough to do it. RIP to the Michaelangelo of contemporary acting. Norma Jean and Marlon Brando ranked highest in their time, maybe century.

I agree with you that many of these photos were not sad. But this is a period of her life that she was in great depression and not sure at all if she would go on acting. AND yes SHE WAS MURDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT ! My family was privy to inside information about her and the Lawfords.

Marilyn was used by men her entire life, which obviously contributed to her premature death. As she so poignantly said in the masterful comedy “Some Like it Hot,” that she “always gets the fuzzy end of the lollipop.” That was true in the film and in life. I miss her; she was iconic-one of a kind. RIP, Beautiful Marilyn. P.s. to the content provider: These are great shots, but in most of them I cannot see her face. Can you reconfigure the image settings? I assume others may be having this same issue. Thank you again either way for sharing these last photo shoot session of her. Wonderful.🎬❤️🎬

RFK was at her home the day she died , they had a big emotional bruha , nevertheless she was quite distraught . She was seeing DiMaggio again and there are rumours he was trying to reconnect with her or she was doing so on her own. Messing around with JFK and RFK was a bad idea, something that brought up more emotional imbalance/disturbance. She should have known by now that most men just wanted to fuck her, but not necessarily get into a deep long standing relationship. The abundance of booze and drugs she consumed at the time played a roll in emotionally imbalancing further. There is such a thing as accidental over dosing, where people over consume their prescribed drugs out of mental strife, to knock them out for longer period but not intentionally to kill themselves . If they are having trouble in sleeping, they can overdose themselves not realizing the danger. A lot of people have died from combing prescribed legal drugs, add some alcohol to these drugs which in most cases enhances their effects and you create a deadly potion that can stop people's hearts. ie. Prince , Micheal Jackson, Elvis. ........etc.
