There is a possibility with the Omega to get the pedal off center to the right or the left. This makes pedaling more comfortable.

It's the exact same as a piano. I first learned by finding c. C is right before the 2 top notes (d flat and e flat). I hope thos helped a little.

The only thing to keep in mind here is that the Omega is endorsed by David Friedman, Joe Locke, Stefon Harris, Warren Wolf and me, Tony Miceli. We have played all the different instruments out there and we all chose the Omega. We don't have lab coats, but we have a lot of experience playing instruments. No other instrument even come close in our opinion. So just to present the other side here which I just think this is important to mention. David, Joe, Warren and Stefon are the best players in the world in my opinion. If they are playing the Omega, I doubt it's the second best of anything. Just sayin'. There are some good instruments out there, however we all believe the Omega is the best.

Hey Tony, Thanks for dropping by! Players like you and the people you mentioned are so good that they can make any set of vibes sound amazing, even a low budget set of non-graduated bars. A lot of the cats you mentioned (including yourself i believe) were involved in the development of the Omega and thus aren’t entirely unbiased. Aside from that, there are many business reasons an artist will choose to be in partnership with a company and it’s hard for the lay person to know if that choice was purely based on the instrument or other reasons. My job as a reviewer is to present the pros and cons of each instrument to people who may be in need of a set of vibes in an unbiased fashion. Another thing to consider is that vibes are used in many different applications and not just live stage jazz. Band, drum corps and studio work are also very popular uses of the instrument and may have different needs than that of a stage performer. I will present some thoughts on that in the next video as well as a ton of playing examples. Hopefully viewers can come to their own conclusions based of hearing each vibe in action!

@@Marimbalogy Ok :-) Let me state here that no one on Team Omega joined for any other reason than we thought this was the best vibraphone in the world. It's important I say that. To think that any of them did this for the money or anything else is silly. I wrote a bunch more but I'll leave it here. On with your review :-)

Hi Tony. You’re making some really good points here. I have to correct you in one point though. Having the fans in the upright position doesn’t make for the maximum sustain - rather the opposite but for maximum volume.
