Last year in religion class we had to chose a song that represents violence. So I chose this song because it fits so perfectly and has so many important lines. Can we please talk about Marina's deep lyrics? Honestly, I think that's what really draws me to her songs. Her voice is amazing, the beat is always catchy, and the vibe of the song is amazing as well. But the lyrics. Goddamn the lyrics, that's what really got me hooked. It has happened multiple times with Marina's songs. If I don't particularly like it at first, but the lyrics are beautifully written, I will listen to it over and over again. As a non-believer I can assure that people are killing for money and power and not really cause of religion. Religion is, however, a really good tool to control people and make them kill for you and it's been found out very early therefore most religions have been altered a lot throughout the history to suit those who are in power so they could manipulate masses to reach their means. Nowadays, you don't even need religion for the same goals since people discovered and mastered propaganda in 1910s-1930s and war evolved into hybrid warfare that we have now where brainwash can be achieved via modern information and communication tools.
