I'm Italian, but I'm pretty sure I was Greek in one of my past lives, because I love Greece so much. I fell in love with Marina after Zari came out. My favourite song on the EP is Ah Thalassa. I had no idea what it was about the first time I listened to it but it struck a chord, and after finding out she wrote it after her father sudden death, it all made sense.

I didn’t know Greek press was being so critical! Marina was herself during this Eurovision season, and was loved for that. I was in Athens in April, when Zari was played everybody knew the lyrics and were singing along ❤️ I’m going back to Greece in July, I’m sure I’ll be hearing a lot LaLaLaLa! From the new songs, I love Ah Thalassa ❤️ hugs from Lisbon

This album is a way of replying to all her haters (mostly journalists and morning show hosts) who called her "immature" and "childish", that she embraces her inner child and that she doesn't have time for them, she wants to enjoy life, because life is too short and we are just small waves in an endless sea.

My favorite is STIN IYIA MAS ( i really enjoy instrumental part from [0:45 sec. - 1.00 min] and i looove LALALA 💓🔥🧚‍♂️🦋🦋🦋🤩🤩 so many references to greek culture, very authentic !!!💙🤍💙🤍

Κωστή the greek references you mention in Lalala are spot on! Regarding Aliki Vougiouklaki, Marina was influenced by her a lot as a child she has mentioned this in a recent interview... Also regarding the abrupt ending in Ah Thalassa it is meant to represent how sometimes in life things can happen suddenly..we know the song is dedicated to her dad who passed away in early April 2024. She has been crucified on mainstream greek media who as we know follow the conservative greek government but her huge fandom is loyal and she is excelling in the charts nationally and globally...

First two songs are really not my cup of tea, but the third one was really beautiful and moving even though I don't understand a word (fun fact: I tried to learn Koine Greek a few years ago but failed miserably and just gave up), Marina has a very interesting tone of voice and definitely she is a personality to remember. I think that in Mixtape, Marina lets out all her frustrations and anger with her Eurovision experience, lack of support and undermining by the Greek media and even the national Greek broadcaster.

ah thalassa was dedicated to her father that died a few weeks ago, before the Eurovision contest. It is the mourning (moiroloi) song for her father that's why the sadden stop in the end , I think it represents the death of her father imo

Χρονια πολλα, καθυστερημένα για τα γενέθλια, on time για την γιορτή σου! Επισης η Θώδη ειχε χαρακτηρίσει το Ζαρι γατοξερασμα. Η Σάττι ειχε ζητήσει μετα γιατι ειναι υπεράνω την άδεια της Θώδη για να βαλει στο μιξτέιπ το sample της, η Θώδη αρνήθηκε και μολις ειδε την επιτυχία του κομματιού δέχτηκε και προστέθηκε σε αυτό.
