In no fashion was Joan of Arc an "Amazonian" figure or "tomboy" (as Warner claims) since she said bluntly that she didn't fight in combat (and the many eyewitness accounts also show this), and in fact she said she said would rather have stayed home and spun wool as she had always done. The people who knew her said she enjoyed such domestic tasks and didn't want the role that she is remembered for today (similar to how Queen Victoria didn't want the throne and tried to make her husband a de-facto king in her place).
