I think I finally understand this video. I used to think this song and video was the least meaningful Marina has ever done. How wrong I was. Marina is basically accepting the fact that she doesn't need to wait on someone to be happy. "Living la dolce vita, life couldn't get much sweeter, don't you give me a reason, that is not the right season" YEAH! And also, you can see her in some shots like she's waiting for the man who is just staring at her. I think symbolizing that this man was always there, but he never wanted to be a part of Marina's life in the first place, and when she finally had him, she wasn't feeling happy, when you see them both hugging, they look still and not happy. And then, finally, when Marina decides to be happy on her own, you see her shining in the center of the ballroom with a beautiful dress, symbolizing that she is gonna be the light of her own life, because she doesn't have to wait on nothing to be happy. This could be just me, but OMG.

To everyone complaining that the music video is low budget and boring and how it's not what Marina intended it to be, let me take you back to Hollywood. The music video was very energetic with movement everywhere: confetti, bright colors, tons of people. BUT IM TELLING YOU that Marina intended the video to be dark but shimmery. Froot has this dark and eerie undertone where the music video portrays it beautifully. Please don't act like this is not what she was going for because it completely is. She meant for it to be dark, vivid, mysterious, not much camera work, just generally vague.

You just convinced me, lol I didn't take the time to analyze it. I should have foreseen it, she always manage to give her work that melancholic and quite dark eerie, despite a "bright" and happy song. If I know her very well, she even perhaps intended to gently tear apart that innocent joyful feeling and every playful imagination you got listening to the audio - of course she wanted to change our perspectives, dropping the viewer right into humanity, the real world, where no such thing is allowed (or possible). She does this very well, a talented and intelligent artist indeed she is. I feel embarrassed I judged this video so quickly.

All these complaining comments are here "and" below the facebook link because a colorful, joyful, sensual but happy crazy video (even with a bit of darkness) was what a lot a people (me included) was expecting for.. I am absolutely mesmerized by this song. It oozes a certain element of sexiness and alluring , but doesn’t resort to being raunchy. It dances this fine line of beautiful and haunting of love and loss. I can’t say why I like it so much - I just do! And the video is just as beautiful and haunting as the song itself.
