Still remember us pickin' my pops up at el toro each time after his 3 tours of nam. Many times going to the px with our mom for monthly groceries while he was over seas. (hated that!). For all those who served at ET and those who never made it back from war. A whole hearted THANK YOU from a proud mc brat!!!

MCAS El Toro was the fixed wing air station in Irvine, CA, on the Sand Canyon Rd., I5 exit. MCAS Tustin was the rotary wing (helicopters) air station in Tustin, CA.

El Toro was the jet base this was for Helicopters H-53 and H-46. I was there in the 80's.

El Toro is in the distance to the east of MCAS Tustin. They aren't very far apart.
