@Micheal R. You half step after columns to wait for 2nd squad or how ever many squad leaders you have time to catch their squads up and get back in step. Once they are up you then on your left step take a full step and proceed marching regularly.

Lunati actually just heard back from my recruiter today. I'm not going to be joining the marines. They do not want me. So I won't have to worry about it. I'll just continue to work at the gas station for the rest of my life

A recruiter doesnt just turn people down, thats not normal for them. Mine sent me to MEPS 4 times, I wont say i got a little discouraged (borderline pissed) but I didnt give up. Id keep in contact with your recruiter or at the very least find another one that would work with you. Joining the military isnt like it used to be where they would accept damn near everyone, sometimes you just have to make adjustments and try again. The Marines are hard to join for a reason.
