Very awesome and beautiful voice well done SSgt White. I'm not sure, yall. Why couldn't she have called cadence for the entire battalion. Maybe someone could answer that question. Especially after watching another DI do just that, so it can be done. Thanks 😊

My daughter is in the second platoon. As soon as I heard this DI singing and the acoustics amplifying it I started to record. My daughter said they would often stop during training to listen to her sing to the platoon like this. They don't all sound like this for sure.

Stopped during training to listen? Either you or your daughter is telling tales outta school. And since you're the one posting, I'm gonna say it's you. Ain't no platoon stopping training to listen to cadence. The training schedule does not allot time for "listening" What a load of bunk.
@yesplease1015 ай бұрын
@hairydiablo1326 it's a DIs discretion what to do with their platoon. There were plenty of times we stopped drilling to stop and watch a 3rd phase platoon drill. Watching a well trained and drilled platoon is a form of training on it's own.

Future-Marine-Devil-Dog 14 That is true. After my cousin finished his time in the Marines we were out having a beer and this gentleman came up behind him, grabbed him by the shoulder and started "yelling" (dont know if you can call it yelling because his voice was so hoarse and raspy) and turned out it was his DI from training. And the old DI had only been one for 3 years before then.

The other DI Patoon Leaders are also calling cadence for their platoon. I haven't seen anything like this before. I assume it was either a f*** f*** trick by the Company Commander or someone or the DIs probably started s*** talking each other and it turned into competition...Thats my guess. Reminds me of when I was a recruit, I thought I had the juice with my cadence....Then a kid I knew from another platoon started blowing notes on some Beyonce type stuff. Im like "Detail, halt. I'm done."

The people who "dislike this" are nothing more than people who "want it w/o the fluff"! They are entitled to their opinion of course! I won't ever put down somebody's likes or dislikes. But, whether you think a song or cadence should be done "only in the most rigid of ways and basically formless and w/o interpretation" it's still hard to believe people could dislike such a beautiful voice. Of course, most people can that's why currently there are nearly 800 likes and about 40 to go to even make a hundred the other way. All I can say is: "Marine Corps until the casket drops"! This Drill Instructor presented a cadence that to the recruits that helped keep them in step. And I suspect was very motivating to them at the same time! Awesome video! I only wish I could hear more. At Parris Island, in 1979 this was a terrifying sound. Anytime the female recruits were near us, we were put in the pit for as long as they were in possible view. When we heard these Female DIs calling cadence we knew the pain was on the way. BTW back then, these women were called NAG DIs and it was not considered inappropriate in anyway. My DIs used the term with a good deal of respect. They would berate us about how easy the Corps was for us and how difficult it was for them.
