Lol at the end of the day, this means nothing. What matters most is how the cadet performs onboard. I've known cadets whos having hard time in situations like in the video, but having an excellent performance onboard. That's why questions should be about the applicants background and personality to know more about the applicant / cadet .

i am not good enough at English speaking. but i think the interviewer is better to hire somebody who has more skills at English speaking. i see in this video.sometimes the interviewer did any mistake in pronunciation.

This is actually not the best example of a Deck Cadet Interview. The cadet was too hesitant to interact with the interviewer. Most of the talking came from the guy in the orange shirt, when in fact, interviewees should be the ones to maneuver the conversation, making it engaging. No discrimination or whatsoever, I'm just saying that standards should be elevated to improve interview procedures to properly select those who possess both interpersonal abilities, communication skills, and marine knowledge. Still, kudos to the uploader for uploading this, since this can serve as a reference to those who are wondering how interviews are conducted.
