Im guessing the problem for these soldiers is that they are clearing 10s if not hundreds of rooms a day and they cannot stay calculated and 100% focused during the entire time, so they make small lapses in judgement or walk just a bit too fast or at the wrong angle. i think the best trained people would probably also make these mistakes if they were clearing structures for a whole day or several days in a row

Clearing a few rooms in a killhouse compares in no way to clearing an entire city for weeks on end. The cool swat like tactics go out the door after about 3 houses and then there is a whole city left

The guys that get their own kill house arent the average soldier. They're most likely special operators, and those guys train ALOT, so doing things properly becomes a habit. They have literally memorized how each team member reacts to any situation, resulting in a VERY smooth, high-speed, always-motivated and professional, at the top of their game . this footage is showing standard conventional infantry. For many of them, it's their first time

Great analysis. Not speaking about you in particular, but a general thought is that it s very easy to critique footage when we sit back with a beer and full mental clarity. Few, if any, truly understand the complete and immense mental and physical fatigue a young infantryman faces during weeks of continuous sustained combat. Especially in such a unique and grueling battlefield environment of urban and subterranean tunnel threats. At the end of the day, all the average flat range and airsoft kings in most comments critiquing these guys based on GBRS house clearing videos they studied would be panting like tired dogs under all that weight and equipment, tripping over rubble and debris, and would be completely shocked and terrified moving through such an environment. Just some thoughts. But of course it's always great to learn from such videos.
@Forward_Concepts

Part of the point of these videos is exactly that..point out how the conceptualized idea of what we do in training rarely makes sense in real environments. “Real world”
@guitarthrasher81
@guitarthrasher81 2 ай бұрын
@@Forward_Concepts Yes exactly. You're helping show that small unit CQB tactics, mainly of specialized groups like Tier 1 and SWAT who conduct direct action missions, differ immensely from the CQB tactics done at the company size level of infantry forces conducting urban city seizures after immense bombardment. Infantry sent into bombed out cities are in an environment where pre-suppressive fire, grenade clearing, slower movement clearing, etc. are all factors. Glad to see a tide shift in civilian understanding as the main content for CQB training online is mostly of small unit guys all entering clean rooms efficiently in movement, which is great stuff, however don't apply 100% to battlefield infantrymen. There’s definitely that misunderstanding there by many in comment sections.

This footage reminds me of some of the stuff from Grozny 20ish years ago: shooting through walls at people on the other side, grenades getting tossed around corners, etc. This also makes me question going to the new 6.8x51mm rifle round; it seems like having as much ammo as possible is super important in fights like this, not "more stopping power".

For qcb , in civil setting you won't be clearing multiple rooms, your fighting max 4 people and the encounter of short too. Your best weapon isn't even a gun, it's the things that land you a felony, chemical weapons & frags . Frags & smoke are unmatched. Notice that even in gun fire they shoot back, but a frag... they immediately stop shooting and run. Carry 3-4 mags, and lots of frags. Low ammo high frags is the best build. But... again not legal .

I think bigger callibers are adopted not for stopping power but for armor penetration. Modern armor easily stops 5.56. Also more penetration can be beneficial in CQB, to shoot through as many walls as possible, 5.56 can't get through thick walls because of their tendency to fragment on impact

Do you have any videos or opinions on doing a Hostage Rescue/ HRT initial breach point in a team environment, our SOP’s are to flood the room after the one and two man go one in one off, the rest of the team is going inside blocking open doors standing in the threshold until you get a flashbang to get you inside a room from the second guy behind you, if it’s a closed door we just stack up second guy breaches and bangs then the two go in. Just trying to learn here.

Kind of hard to visualize here. But there are some basic principles at play, all revolves around what is the fastest way to get to the hostage without sacrificing the first opportunity to engage the bad guy if that’s what needs to happen

Really good job at breaking down these clips dude, along with the always evolving, never one way of approach to these types of situations. One addendum, lights give exact location of source & anyone in between extending past threshold. If the element of surprise is compromised like in that house, combined with frosty tac team movement, strobe on primary is a good option. Subbed, nice work. 🫡 🇺🇸

Closed doors are probably booby-trapped often by the enemy so it would make sense that if the enemy isn't using a path of egress, you shouldn't either, and instead; take the gamble of keeping in the close fight. That way if you go down, the man behind you will probably take the threat, instead of losing upwards of three men to some IED tripped near a door frame.

Instead of firing a little more to the left where the shooter probably is, the soldier shoots at the corner where The Scary Thing came from And then just to make the video even more interesting, we appear to see the opposite at 8:23, where the soldier looks to be spraying to the right of the corner where the enemy might still be standing

In the school I would have thought that was just glass windows on the corner that they could have broken and dropped a grenade in or the bad guy could have shot them through. In the house where you talked about laser discipline. It appeared to me that they could have been firing through the walls to eliminate the bad guy. Maybe I’m just used to wood frame drywall covered walls.

In the 80s & 90s we trained with V40s for scenarios like this. Seems odd that they wouldn't at least get a flash bang in there to give themselves more time to close the distance & ID him.

Great video actually showcasing a relevant review of some of the most famous clips of the recent war in Gaza. From my experience I can tell you that: 1. Most of the videos online are of regular infantry brigades, and usually are taken by soldiers who'd decided to take and use a gopro for their own reasons. Most of these as such are pretty unprofessional since they tend to get posted to show the "0 to a 100" aspect and how armed civilians and terrorists use the environment to their advantage. 2. Like you implied, the average such infantryman cleared a MIN of tens of buildings/houses in the recent war, and thus regular infantrymen (and thus not SOF/Pro level) are using less and less of their CQB mindset/arsenal as time passes, mainly due to fatigue. Not much of a pro myself but I do agree with almost everything you've said to a certain degree, and at least in Israel most of these videos are being shown to combat soldiers regularly as bad examples of modern cqb.

I’m LE, not military. Typically it takes any new guy getting on SRT about a solid year before they get really solid on tactics I’ve noticed. Great video, I wonder how much cqc training they have? I can’t imagine clearing 20-30+ buildings a day at a high level, man that would be mentally draining

May I ask a Question, no disrespect intended but have you (being a marine) deployed and engaged enemy combatants in this type of scenario? I’m medical retired from the army in 2018, I came in 03 and deployed numerous times to Iraq some notable places Sadr City,Tarmiyah, Baghdad where it was legit door to door, house to house everyday. I only ask because you seem to criticize and critique a lot and I just want to know your experience. Only reason why I had to medical retired was because an old injury sustained from being shot point blank in my back finally took its tow.

If you think it’s criticism you’re in the wrong place. Critiquing is part of “debriefs” where people get to see and learn…nothing more nothing less. If the information is relevant and makes sense it’s all that matters. FYI nearly every cops who teaches active shooter has never been involved in one. And trust me you wouldn’t want 75 percent of the dudes who have been to one teaching it…insert Uvalde. It’s a failed logic’s that doesn’t hold up to objective reasoning.

CQB with assault rifles looks like this, pure chaos. If the guy in the room had tossed a hand grenade he would´ve get the UAV kill streak... No matter what you do, in Urban CQB is mostly luck.

Someone commented (one from our country also) on how our Army in the Philippines during Marawi Siege isn't quick and smooth enough in CQB when he based it on the "operators" that he claims he watched on KZbin. Thus happened on a comment section of one of a shorts i watched. I showed one of your Real World CQB shorts and I replied to him "Try applying speed on that" with the IDF soldiers getting fragged on that room, he shut up haha.

There were many accounts by US troops in Iraq where they stormed buildings and ran into either prepared positions or at least determined resistance. That typically resulted in casualties or deaths. A slower approach with fewer men might have been a better idea. The fast approach seems to work better for hostage situations and places that won't be as cluttered as these places, nor likely with prepared positions. Of course it also helps if the troops are special forces quality with lots of training and practice. These men may well be reservists or regulars with some more training. But there is a difference between the training facility and the real world.

This is cool man. I like your commentary. I don’t think the Israelis are big on switching shoulders from what I’ve seen of their training videos. They like to fight from doorways and stay very close to cover. I find it interesting compared to the way things are taught over here and think there’s a lot to take away from it. It’s obviously working very well for them and has for decades.
