IF this cat is going to explore the world, WHEN will builders talk about what is important : appliance service ability and ease of replacement ! Same for electronics and electrical sub systems ! If you like the idea of a frosted glass plane going up and down to "hide" activity at a push of button are you the sort of person who would not consider what would be required one day to repair the "magic" when it stops working ? Same for blinds that go up and down at the push of a button. As for fridge/freezer doors that open by swinging horizonality, every time they open all the cold air "falls" out- not a good long term phenom ! Sure its a beauty of a boat - how will it function after 4 years at sea ??

As much as I love the old style ultra well made and extremely classy Burgers, they need a crew to operate. Aquila’s offer better design and layout, are much easier to use as no crew is needed and everything is new, top shelf quality and have alarms and backups if anything goes arye.. I remember the old saying, if you are in the front seat by a Bentley, if you are in the back seat, buy a Rolls. Rolls fixed that but you know what I mean. Well, if I wanted/needed a crew, I would buy a Burger (or equal), if you don’t want or need a crew, buy an Aquila. If I were just cruising canals, bays with occasional jaunts to the stream to catch dinner or busting over to Bimini for the weekend, I’d buy a big Whaler or Grady. Growing up in Coconut Grove and always having a boat and reading YACHTING magazine for 40 years, I will say that I am very I am Impressed with Aquila.

Again, John Ross is saying again, again ! At least he is not ending statements on a rising note. On this boat, I would have expected an ice-maker or two. Tons of storage is not necessarily a benefit on a catamaran, how much weight can the boat take & still show waterline ? An obvious concession to iPhones, which is OK in USA, but last call I made from Bahamas on my cell phone cost $3 a minute. Opening presentation requirements - basic specs like: total boat weight, LOA, width, depth, height, fuel consumption, range, fuel & water tank capacity, cost, delivery, country of origin, etc. A nod to ease of owner single-handing would be nice, not every owner wants to hire a crew, and 70 feet is borderline for DIY in my opinion. Pop up cleats are a Godsend for everyone that has ever stubbed a toe on a conventional cleat. Staple rail storage when not in use ? Where are the controls for launching / retrieving the dingy ? What are the seating cushions covered with ? leatherette can stick to you, cloth can get dirty. Pumpouts & fills ? Surround sound is nice, what can it play ? Radio / CD / cassette / computer / iphone / SD card ? These are just some thoughts while watching the presentation. Looks like a nice boat; expect a call just as soon as I win PCH....

Beautiful boat, but honestly the narration was an unnecessary distraction. Much of what was said was very obvious, such as suggesting what we can put the in the fridge, what we might put into the freezer, how we might put our shoes at the bottom of the closet and hang our clothes above, etc. Simply touring the boat slowly and opening/closing the key storage areas would have sufficed. Now if you really want to show it off and make people enjoy the video, hire KZbin's Aquaholic or NautiStyles boat presenters.
