Hershel Woody Williams, the way you worded what takes place when you wear The Medal Of Honor, is so beautiful. Those 2 men that sacrificed their all which allowed you to be honored in the highest way, was so very nice of you to say. You are such a sincere, lovely person, and we are grateful and very appreciative of your service to our country. From the bottom of my heart, and all who are True American's, I say thank you. Our country remains free as a result of all that were in our Military, and did what was necessary for our Country and Constitution to live on. Our finest, gave their life, our finest, fought and became injured, and our finest served to protect us completely. Thank you, and may all whose lives were sacrificed, or later died from their wounds, and all that lived on to pass the greatness and History of our country, may you all be Resting In Peace. Your families were very fortunate to have and to hold you, and express their love for you in the most emotional way. We owe all that we have, to all of you. Thank you for your service. This has been written with the utmost respect for you. I am one of the fortunate families that both of my kids serve proudly and with honor in The United States Marine Corps. Thank you my dear son's for choosing to serve our country, and most important, wearing your uniform with such pride. I am very lucky to be your mom! I love you dearly. Always have, always will! May God watch over all of you and keep you safe. A nation of people who you will never meet, pray for you every night. So much Honor comes from all that have worn the uniform. ♥️🇺🇲♥️ ♥️🇺🇲♥️ ♥️🇺🇲♥️

Marines, I have another notable MOH recipient who served in the Corps. Corporal William T. Perkins, USMC, Vietnam vet, posthumous MOH recipient and the only combat photographer to receive the MOH.

My Great Uncle was a double MoH recipient (for the same action) in WW1. As most pointed out in this video he didn't live to wear his medal, Both of which are now in the Marine Corp Museum. Semper Fi Marines..... Hu Rahhh!

Remember that it is the MEDAL OF HONOR, there is no such thing as the "Congressional Medal..."

Yes there is, but the Medal is not. This misnomer, I believe, arose from the wording of the citation that says "..in the name of Congress". If that were the case a recipient would have to salute the President.
