Nobody pointed this out but Clash Man is not a mistake. That's his name in Rockman 2(JP version of Mega Man 2). It's the classic Japanese L->R switcheroo, Japanese doesn't have an L sound. In the International Versions it was changed to Crash Man, not sure if it was an intentional or unintentional change.

Thanks for playing Rockman No Constancy. I hope you finish it someday. It's hard but it's my favorite MM2 hack. And on "Hard Mode" it's like no other Mega Man game ever: it takes away temporary invulnerability after being hit, which makes it brutally hard. Also, Crash Man wasn't broken. He appears only when he jumps. It actually is the same as his MM2 pattern, but your window to hit him is much smaller.

I love how he praises the Castlevania hack for "getting it" which then immediately proceeds to mounted machine gun punch him in the face with nonsensical difficulty. I mean... if that's what you really want, you just got it, buddy. XD For me, the original games are already difficult enough but also still really enjoyable (substituting superior JP versions where appropriate.)

That is what I want. But you have to understand what I’ve done in the past. I do no death runs of castlevania 1/3. I beat loop 2 of castlevania 3 which is even more difficult than the prior. So yeah, I need it to be pretty punishingly difficult. As long as its not kaizo which i dont like. I also like that this isn’t full of garbage meme humor or anything. I do wish he would have kept the life bar red though.

I like that Castlevania hack. I'll probably play it. My only criticism would be it seems to rely a bit much on flying enemies and swarming to amp up the difficulty which makes the pace a bit slow. Like there's only 1 way to do things and it's all about retrying until you get the timings right or get lucky. That's fine and all, but I do enjoy it when they add more variation in strategy and platforming.

The reason you can see on a CRT but not on the capture at times is you likely capture at 30 fps so if the "flashing" is 1 frame on 1 frame off it will seem to disappear because we're only getting every other frame.
