Twitch memes aside, the way you praised Narfman in the interview was awesome. That's really just a testament to your character and the vibe of the SMB3 community overall.

9:31 I really appreciate this mindset of turning mutually shared struggles among SMB3 runners into an "absurd joke". There's a sense of comradery within the community when we take specific mistakes or RNG outcomes and give them nicknames and memes because they're things everyone invested in the grind can relate to. All of which goes to show that the journey is just as much meaningful as the goals we're aiming for. Congratulations, Narfman.

NGL, I didn't expect to see this in my feed. Mind you, I don't closely follow SMB3, but I guess that's the power of SummoningSalt. Anyway, I figured there was still a few seconds to shave off despite how popular (and old) SMB3 is, but I figured you'd just be shaving off those seconds whenever you felt like it. I didn't expect to see someone else get it, but I'm not surprised it's a Kaizo player (given how absolutely ABSURD Kaizo hacks are). Anyway, congratulations to Narfman for the new record, and good luck to you getting the record back!

I really liked watching this. You're still going down in history as the most important contributor to the history of Super Mario Bros 3. Not just speedrunning, but period, mate. Also, you could take ten years off, see where the record goes, and come back and it would be just like riding a bike. Maybe someone will discover a new trick that will change how the game plays... you never know! But don't ever fully, "retire!"

While practicing 7-7 pipe clip I did a red pipe glitch instead. I went to the targeted location of the pipe but there was no animation of entering. Mario disappeared instantly upon hitting the pipe and for about 2-3frames it started outlining red but as in the wrong warp glitch and then I was on the other side. It saved about 1 second compared to entering the pipe normal and i saved p speed. Unfortunately I'm new to speedrunning and as it was just practice I wasnt recording. Im waiting on a new harddrive to come in the mail so I'm practicing on the NES console right bros. Does anyone know whay happened? Maybe i havent watched enough videos, but if you could do it every pipe it would significantly change at least the TAS record.
