The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is an aerobic capacity test that's often used in schools to measure students' fitness levels. It involves running back and forth across a 20-meter space at a pace that gets faster as the test progresses. You start off slow and then speed up at each minute mark after a beep signal. A 'ding' sound indicates the completion of a lap, and you need to complete each lap before the sound. If you fail to complete a lap before the ding twice, the test is over. The goal is to run as long as possible, testing endurance and pacing . It's a challenge that many students remember, sometimes fondly and sometimes not, as it can be quite demanding, especially as the pace increases .
