While the new battle theme is a remix of Cacklettas theme, the song actually does play in Fawful 2nd fight in the Japanese and GBA version and every 3DS version of Superstar Saga, which is likely why it's the song that's remixed

That, and Princess could have the random plot power to seal the Dark Star again, so it wouldn't want it to happen again.

Welp, I can safely say that, throughout *multiple* playthroughs of the DS version, I *never* noticed the side chambers at the top of the castle. I just thought the pinball minigame was a point of no return or something. Anyways... Broggy Bonker is weird in this. I have no idea if it does more or less damage overall because the statlines are all over the place in the 3DS version, but here, Broggy does the same damage with each of his hits as the Blitties; in the original, on an Excellent, Broggy did two brutal hits and one strong hit, followed by 15 weak hits from the Blitties (still more powerful than the average Goomba or Koopa, though). Here, all the hits do equal damage. I can't be the only one who finds that change weird, confusing, and probably unnecessary.

2:21 I don't think this is about him not giving a shit about Cackletta anymore. I think it's moreso the music alluding to Fawful's original debut as Cackletta's loyal toady. Think about it. He's been with Cackletta the entirety of Superstar Saga, and he even shares her battle theme while he's camping in his shitty little head mech. (Hell, his appearance as Dark Fawful even looks very similar to Cackletta's clothing!) Even if he thought of her as nothing more than a stepping stone for his own plans, would it not feel weird to *not* have a semblance of Cackletta's theme associated with him during combat? After all this time, Fawful has worked his way up the villainous ladder. He's acquired dark power, brainwashed Bowser's minions, and stolen Princess Peach. Now you're facing off against him in the boardroom of Peach's Castle as this daunting, yet familiar background music reminds you of what he once was: Cackletta's loyal toady. Of course I may be wholly wrong on all of this nonsense, but that's my two coins on the matter.

6:18 Speaking of not looking at the top screen, I think you missed a tell on Blizzard Midbus. When he grabs the ceiling and starts throwing snowballs, he will either look at bowser or look straight down. If he looks at bowser, he will throw the snowball at you. If he looks at the ground, however, he will miss.

fun fact: in the original if you just waited for the broggy cleaning time to run out and you didn't even brush him a little, then when Bowser sent him after the enemy he would just get mad and jump at you (dealing no damage, but leaving Bowser with a "bruh" face) this was really fucking hilarious to me for no reason, but I'm not sure if it is in this version

13:07 - 13:16 In the original if you don't mash X then Dark Bowser's Flame pushed Bowser's Back, But Bowser's doesn't get hurt, he just keeps breathing the smallest amount fire protecting him from Dark Bowser's Flames. Not sure if that also happens in the Remake thou... the part about Bowser not getting hurt by Dark Bowser's Flame i mean. I know that Dark Bowser's Flame pushes Bowser's Back in the remake if you don't mash X.

Yeah, that dark energy attack seems to be busted in this version. It seems like you're intended to hit Fawful, but the hitboxes are such that doing so is physically impossible. I actually had to turn on Easy Mode for this fight so I could two-shot him thanks to the X2(?) damage boost and avoid the attack altogether. Also, that battle would make for an interesting point of no return... (The minigame would, too)

Opinion time. Sure, Fawful's had his plans get some slight hiccups in them... but, I think Cackletta would be pretty proud of him for being able to go out in the world on his own, starting from nothing with his former bean business and actually awaken the Dark Star, despite everything the heroes have thrown at him. What do you guys think?

Why did they change how much the vaccume heals? In the original it healed only 300 and now it does 500. If their trying to make the game easier than this doesn’t help and if their trying to make the finale harder(like ss dx) then why doesn’t the vaccum suck up and action command like it did in the ds version
