I love the idea that the true villain wants to turn the entirety of the Mario Universe into his own, scripted utopia! Where everyone plays their own role in THERE story! It just sounds so DARK that the characters get trapped in solitude in their own digital perfect world with no reason to leave it! I love how the story goes in depth, it makes me CARE about the characters & there world a lot after playing through the game & befriending everyone!

That's something not all video games are capable of: making the players care about the characters. In fact, good storytelling in general must make the audience care about the world and its characters, but I suppose video games struggle with this a lot because it's not easy to make players forget they're interacting with scripted NPCs and navigating an obstacle course or a giant playground.

Now in order for the story to be good, we need that the next games actually have consequences for that, even the smallest ones like Bowser Jr. with a tiny bit of character development. The narrative of the game is great, but I don't want it to be like Dream Team: "all of this happened in a distant place you will never hear of again"

I hope there will be a future Kirby that's inspired by the power of bonds/friendship and the same thing in Super Paper Mario like the pure hearts but in a very different way, and I want it to show how ultimately pure hearted Kirby is and his friends

I love how this Game is From the Brotherly Bonds to the other Bonds of the other Inhabitants like Grumbla and his family I wish this Game had a Post-Games but sadly this Game doesn’t save after the Final Boss is beaten

What I like most about this story is that it holds actual relevance and meanings how about the real world and the things that go on in real life. Play the story touches up on the problems that we have in the real world today.

One thing I have to say is that for a Mario game, the finale of Brothership is unsettling and climatic. By far the most unsettling part of the endgame is the entire sequence in the fake Mushroom Kingdom and how despite how much unease crept in, the music, which is a remixed SMB3 World 1 Map theme, only stops or switches to something suspenseful only for the music to go back to the upbeat melody.

My old Paper Mario fan game was called Mario Chronicles where during a special Comet passing by once a thousand years and during the event the comet’s power is at its peak and suddenly a portal opens up and suddenly a masked Bowser like figure runs out and immediately grabs Mario and chucks him through. It is revealed that Bowser Jr from the future came back in time to kidnap Mario so Bowser can take over fully in the present which successfully happens. In the future Bowser Empire Mario meets a rebellious Goomba named “Goombeaux” who is a member of the “Star Rebels” who is a freedom fighter society that fights against the evil forces of Bowser’s empire

The story fell off for me after the glohm bowser fight, after slogging through the zokket castle. The Adaphne portion was so dull, I hated how self centred and rude Adaphne was which ruined it for me, she’s probably the worst character for me in the whole game (aside from the Turnip guy). I knew earlier that we’d have to choose between the two because I wanted to check for missables. So that part felt like padding, who would chose Adaphne after learning she’s a witch. The bond arc was more padding, but quite enjoyable. I liked the soli-tree section, Reclusa was so cool, ‘ugh… people’ sums up its character perfectly.

I actually have an idea on how to improve the final boss, Reclusa making copies of the previous enemies that the bros have faced in the past (Cackleta, the Shroobs, Dark Star, Antasma, and even villains like King Boo from Luigi's mansion and Wart from Super Mario Bros 2)

Ok, but…how would you make that make sense in-universe? I’m pretty sure Reclusa is never shown to have the power to create clones of people. He can create an illusory world and trap you in it, but that’s not the same as producing copies of people.

It loads up the saves, that being the auto save which is the ending, and the manual save which is the save before you face Reclusa.

I think my playthrough lasted like, 50h, from November 7th (release date) to this Monday It's great, I laughed a lot. Cuddos to the kids on the missile and that one part where a random guy yells "I hate strangers" (we are still on a Mario & Luigi game) While good on his own, it doesn't dethrone Bowser's inside story in my heart. I feel the game was a bit too long for his own good, the very last part was a bit too much in my opinion (I was also rushing to finish the game ans was almost 4 hours in my session so I may be biased, but MY GOD this last dungeon rooms, you know what i mean) And I'm so, so disappointed with the boss' musics ! Even going back to it on KZbin videos, it's just forgettable and I'm mad about it, for a series also known for this aspect of the games. In the end, I was looking for fun in this game, cute callbacks, and was not disappointed overall. Play it !

There’s a glitch with glohm gobblick and it made where every enemy kills me one shot including the pipe gunk boss that only does 10-15 damage. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

233:23 I actually cried at the end AND SPOILERS The Shipshape island theme after you beat Reclusa had me in tears to, also seeing Buddy and Junior saying bye Like it was time to go and I honestly didn't want to leave Concordia. But I know I can just replay the game if I want. But this game was a great experience!
