Rosalina being a guest character in surfing is essentially the basis of a release special I'm posting for this game on the day it comes out. The plot: Mario, Sonic and company are heading to DK Island to do some training for Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics with the Kong Family as their trainers. *DK and Diddy are training Mario and Luigi in men's 100m freestyle.* *Funky Kong is training Rosalina in surfing* *Dixie and Tiny are training Peach and Daisy in Rythmic Gymnastics* *Chunky Kong is training Knuckles in Boxing* *Lanky and Candy are training Sonic and Tails in Doubles Table Tennis* During the training, Dr. Eggman, Shadow and Metal Sonic are trying to convince Bowser to help him rob and pillage Green Hill Zone while Sonic and his friends are away on DK Island, but instead, they decide to help Wario and Mona on a mission to DK Island to settle scores for what happened to them on Halloween. Their job, alongside Jimmy T., Waluigi, Ashley, Cricket and Penny, is to make sure no one meddles with their mission. When things go wrong, they make a hasty escape by taking Amy hostage and Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mario, Luigi, Peach and Daisy have to rescue Amy from the bad guys before they escape with Amy as a hostage-turned-prisoner. Eh, maybe. I’ve literally owned all the others when they first came out. And tbh, the original ones seemed more fun. Beijing only had 16 characters compared to 20 like the rest, but Beijing and Vancouver seemed better at least for their time. But this game could have more than I’m initially thinking it would. It is ridiculous that Sega has eliminated the Miis from this game, since many people underestimate them for being simple avatars, they deserve more prominence, they must also have more interaction and dialogues with all the characters of Mario and Sonic as if you really felt inside the game. Personally I will not buy this game PD: I wish that in a future Mario and Sonic game in the Olympic games, there is a category where you can customize your Mii with voice type options, customize celebration animations, joy, sadness, anger, running or walking, your special attack and its own static, as well as different and another option where it divides the type of gender if it is male or female with their respective characteristics and animations, one where you can choose the type of skills of the type: All-Round, Speed, Power , Technique, and customize them to your liking.

What's wierd is that I'm pretty sure that modelling, programming and preparing AI for a character used in only 1 event wastes wayyy more resources than having them be playable. Just a suspicion but I feel like there's gonna be an "Unlock all" DLC or a Deluxe edition of the game to have them all playable if they're gonna put in that effort.
