is eating living things with emotions really that unlikely? cause i'm pretty sure irl humans do that everyday you think cows and frogs and horses aren't sentient? i believe the are and if you don't believe me some people eat dogs

Of course animals are sentient, but I think the issue has more to do with Mario actively befriending mushroom people / the penguins, then going on to consume them. It's a great point though!

@@customstheory hmmm the toads and the mushroom powerups are kinda like humans and monkeys we're both similar but not the same also some people torture monkeys and in an episode of drake and josh there was a man who eats them

In the game they are sentient and he just touches them to become big. In the movie though they aren't really sentient.

I don't think swallowing tanookis is bad... MOST LIKELY UNHEALTHY. And WHY TF WOULD MARIO SHOVE A BELL DOWN HIS THROAT
