Guys, this is the easy Rainbow Road. That's why the song is beautiful ad peaceful. It symbolizes the fun, carefree side of Mario Kart. The other, very difficult Rainbow Roads that have epic themes represent the action-packed, crazed side of Mario Kart.

+Switch-E SNES RR on 200cc is easier than on 150cc. You can pull off the gap shortcut without any effort, and it's quite hard to fall off actually. The original version on the other hand... And let's not forget GBA Rainbow Road either...

This is one of my favorite songs of video game history. I remember hearing this as a child and listening to the off-beat hi-hats (the little, infrequent tsh-tsh) in the song, and it actually made me think more about rhythm and how songs actually work. I think this song was my first favorite song.

Every RR has a overarching theme and the whole point of the N64 was supposed to be a calm and beautiful journey as noted by the fact that it has rails literally everywhere and the only hazard was one lone chain chomp. It's astonishing to see how complex this game has become, the comparison to my childhood racing game to how it is now is unbelievable. Rainbow road was such a marvel to me as a child, that the music, atmosphere, and sheer brilliance of the track design made me cry. It just felt so big and open. So warm and just...ugh. There was such a sweet finality about rainbow road that made me feel like I actually accomplished something. Idk. This game is special to me.

I never played MK64 until relatively recently (Double Dash!! was my first), but I have to say I love this theme! It doesn't have the grandiose, epic feel of more recent Rainbow Roads, it's more of a ballad with an underlying catchy-ness. (Hummability?) I am familiar with the chorus from playing Double Dash!! so that helps. Every game's Raindow Road sounds great in it's own way, it's so hard to choose a favourite.
