Derp Derp They're terrible by modern standards. N64 graphics haven't aged well, but that doesn't mean they weren't good for their time.
@JasPlun
@JasPlun 9 жыл бұрын
LockeRobster Back then the graphics were awesome! They just did not age well with time and with the introduction of HDTV sets it hurt them more. You can still make the games look decent, but you need to mod the systems to turn Scart capability on and then you need a Scart cable and an adapter that converts Scart to HDMI. You can find modded N64 systems for around $120 on Ebay.

When you're a little kid playing a racing game - let alone a track like Rainbow Road - it's hard to fully pay attention to the background music. But when you get older and you hear it here in KZbin, you can notice its little details, such as the galloping bass, or the guitar-like keyboards.

I can still close my eyes, and picture playing this in the middle of the night, with my father. A memory I will always hold with me. My father's alive, and as far as I KNOW, is well. But he hasn't wanted anything to do with me, since I was about 23 years old, and I just turned 31 last month. I've tried for years to have a relationship with him, and he just refuses. All I can say is, don't hold any grudges with anyone in your family, especially your parents. If you're mad at your dad, and aren't speaking to him, please try to forgive him, and spend as much time with him as you can. My dad was my best friend growing up, and I miss him dearly. I'd give anything to have him in my life.

@@RemnentPlays trust me. Ive been trying for years. I admit I made a mistake when I was 23 in 2013, and was addicted to pain killers. I stole 20 bucks from my grandpa, to get pills, and he told my dad and dads whole side of the family about it. Ever since then, they've all hated me. I've apologized profusely to everyone, have been clean since January 2016, am a father to a beautiful 6 year old girl, and am a good father. My dad, and i were close when I was growing up. I always chose to live with him most of the time, vs my mom. I have a half brother on my dad's side, who's 5 years younger than me, and him, and I were always super close growing up. Now, I don't even really know him anymore. He's 27 now, and I haven't even known him since he's been an adult. He stopped wanting to be in my life when he was 16. The whole situation sucks. I envy people who have a tight family, who are there for each other no matter WHAT. I don't even really have family in my life. My mother has always treated me like shit, and treats my two half sisters like queens. My mom would let me live on the streets, if I had nowhere to stay.

I don’t know you or your family brother, and when i hear testimonies like this it breaks my heart and makes me thankful that I was raised the way I was. If you are a good person who has changed and is a better person that provides for their family, that’s all that truly matters in this world. Your dad sounds stubborn as shit, so was my dad. He sounds like an asshole like my old man was as well, only difference is mine has been dead for i dont even know how long now, while yours still breathes. Mine has been gone for what, 10 years? I dont even remember the day or year he died anymore. I’m 38 now as I write this. Listen, if he isn’t senile and his only problem is that he is a jerk you need to just shoot straight with him. Just tell him like this, “listen I’ve been trying to reconcile with you for years and im tired of asking for your forgiveness, or anyone else at this point. You don’t want to talk to me, fine then don’t. But when you’re dying don’t come asking me to see you or feel sorry for you. I don’t want to hear apologies from your death bed, but rather right now when it can actually mean something, instead when it’s too late” If you deliver those lines like a cold bastard, and it STILL doesn’t give him a wake up call and make him take his head out of his ass and take a step back - he is beyond saving. Some people aren’t worth the time and effort.

It's a nice feeling to know that there are lots of other people who played this game, and now, watching this video, feel nostalgia. It's like knowing I could have had millions of potential childhood friends to play this with :)

Man, this game was one of my starter racing games, and this was my favorite piece of music along with the end credits ❤️ Nowadays, it always makes me think of my Dad. He was not a great player, but once, just once, he managed to beat my mom, my bro and me on this track - what a victory! He passed away a few years ago, and when I hear this music now, I always imagine him doing a victory lap in one of his most triumphant gaming moments 🥲 Miss you, Dad! 💔And I miss these days of old...

One of my favorite Mario songs. When I played this as a kid, this was the course I always did my best. Something about the music just gave me a sense of destiny, and my focus doubled. Most of the time I won, even when I wasn't the best player. ;)

I'm in college right now. Things are rough. It's not just the schoolwork, but the emotional impact of leaving your old life and friends for good. It feels lonesome. But hearing these nostalgic tunes remind me of the good days of the 90's. It just brings me back to playing the N64 with buddies and trading Pokemon cards at school. These beautiful feelings take the pain away. I'm happy that Nintendo was a part of my childhood. No matter how old I get, I'll never forget the good old days.

I sometimes feel the same. I didn't grow up in the 90's but I left my primary school in 2019 due to the bad teachers not being able to cope with me. I didn't get a day to say goodbye and some friends I had there I have never seen again. Since COVID I haven't seen any of them at all. This song makes you think of good things even if it's not the track. I had to leave this girl that liked me too. I just wish I could see some of these people again. I was homeschooled for 2 years and then went to secondary school where I lost most social skills but made new friends. I'm happy where I am but those childhood friends will never be seen again and all I have is memories. I feel you

You don’t need a Time Machine or anything; nostalgia is a form of that travel. No matter where you are, you hear a song, an image, then pow! You’re in the days before having to rise and live in this world. Take the nostalgia with you and keep living.

When i was 10 i had to go into Hospital for 3 Weeks. In the morning before leaving off, my two older Brothers played Mario Kart with me and we drove through this Track. My Brothers knew i was upset and anxious of going into Hospital, so they let me win the Race. That Music stayed in my Mind forever. 3 Weeks later when i came back home, my Brothers carried me upstairs (wasn't able to walk for a while) and we played this again :-)

Brings me memories. I used to have a Playstation but I had these neighboors that had an N64. So I kind of had best of both worlds haha. They had pretty much every good N64 out there so I got to play everything. My best memories with them was playing Smash Bros and Mario Party. I'm in college right now. Its very stressful because of the emotional impact of leaving your highschool friends for good since we're all scattered into different colleges now. Hearing these songs helps me get through it
