I have zero nostalgia for the N64 as I totally went from Super Nintendo to Playstation and hence Crash Team racing was my jam for that generation. Mario Kart got me back on Mario Kart 8, all the rest never appealed to me very much... (in terms of MK games that is)

It sounds bad putting his name in the name of the game, and especially twice in the title. It would be better if only review had his name in it, aka "ryuview" The name of the game should be as it is, especially since his name won't work in every game name. So Mario Kart 64 (ryuview) would be perfect.

I still play battle mode on the N64 version with my mom every so often, so just us two players. I used to also play with my cousin many many years ago but definitely don't remember there not being any music. There's a button (that my mom kept hitting accidentally which ticked me off, lol..) that turns the music volume up/down so maybe one of the controllers hit that? My cousin taught me to hide bananas and ¿ blocks behind real item blocks and it's a trick we still use to this day. Fun times!

Ohhhh Diddy Kong Racing is coming! That was my first N64 game and I played hundreds of hours to it. I always felt it was underrated due to the shadow of Mario Kart but it had fresh ideas and it was quite amazing

I was one of the few of my friends who could pretty reliably get the Wario Stadium skip at the starting line (and less consistently the Rainbow Road one) so most of the time we weren't allowed to, haha. I still liked Rainbow Road, though it probably would've been better as a 2-lap race.

In contrast, Rainbow Road 64 is probably my favorite track not just in this game, but my favorite track out of all the Mario Kart tracks and games. It definitely has my favorite theme of any Mario Kart track. I love it.

I liked the video but it was a little random! I like this length for a concise review of a new game. As a nostalgia video, it felt a little short. If you re-edited this into a TOP 3 all time favorite racing games and this was one segment it would work better for me and I think in general but who knows!

Why in the ever loving hell did you get most all of your footage from the Mirror Mode version of these tracks? For someone that played so much of the normal versions and barely (if ever) touched that mode, this whole video felt uncomfortably wrong because of that, from like almost an uncanny valley kind of way.

Maybe the fact that I have no nostalgia what so ever for MarioKart 64 causes me to think that the game is overrated. Not bad (aside the fact that it didn't age well in comparison to later entries starting with Double Dash), just not the best MarioKart experience, also not to say that it was inherently boring and underwhelming (that was actually my issue with MarioKart 8 as well as MarioKart 8 Deluxe). If I have nostalgia for any game, it's hands down Super MarioKart. Also, not that I'm a sucker for that game either as I clearly other MarioKart games that are objectively better and I frankly like other ones more than Super MarioKart, but the true original game nonetheless still holds a place in my heart despite the fact that CPU's cheat way more in this game than in MarioKart 64 or even MarioKart Super Circuit.
