Mario Kart 7 TAS Shortcuts (2022)

The best Shortcuts and Glitches in Mario Kart 7. All of these shortcuts count the lap, and all of them are faster.
Every shortcut in this video is humanly possible except for the first glitch shown on DS Airship Fortress. Due to the precision required for it, it is currently thought that it isn't humanly possible.

The yellow glider pad has a very extreme bounce property, allowing for the player to bounce high enough to clear the invisible boundary that counts you out of bounds

It's weird how the game looks much better on the actual system. The footage in this video just looks like MK Wii. Perhaps they used some kind of filter on the 3ds version?

The game actually looks worse than this on the 3ds, I believe the 3ds is 480p and this is 4K XD. I believe the Wii and the 3ds have the same graphical capabilities, although I might be wrong about that. It just looks better on the 3ds because it's a smaller screen, so you can't make out the details as well

Most of these are already possible. There are a couple that aren't used in real time runs either due to the difficulty of them, or the difficulty of pulling them off fast enough to save time. The only one that it's thought will never be pulled off in a human run (even a slower run) is the one at 0:13

All of them are humanly possible other than the glitch on airship fortress where I didn't respawn. Mario circuit 2 has never been performed by a human fast enough though, it is very difficult

Nope! Currently 15 tracks that have a glitch category, but there are other tracks such as mario circuit 2 where it was decided to be no glitch even though the entire track is basically a shortcut lol. It's actually a very shortcut filled game

TAS is a tool assisted speedrun. It's a speedrun created using tools, such as slowing down the game (I usually TAS at 15% of the normal speed), as well as savestates to retry sections until they are optimized. There are also some other codes that we use, but those are the basics, and both are built into citra emulator

It’s faster if you don’t go into the water for the Maku Wuhu shortcut. Falling to your doom is the fastest way, from what I’ve done. Because this, a better movement, I made a sub 13,?when my original score was a sub 14. Alas, my MK 7 data was corrupted somehow, which, I’m really peeved about. Also, that was a very hard score to beat, which, added salt to the wound, and to make that wound even bigger, it was basically at a 100% completed, just needed to better my time in Time Trial. Triple Stars, All Golden Parts, and most times is past the 2nd Nintendo ghost. And to make it feel like a bullet, it was going to be my very 1st game completed at 100%, but because of this stupid corruption, it’s now just a fantasy. I just wished the corruption never happened

The one's I haven't pulled off even not in a run in this video are DKJ, rAF no respawn (duh), all the RR ones, NBC turnskip (Even with mushrooms, not counting slower strat that loses time) and 2 shroom bug variant, SGB glitch, rDKP, and MP and rBC1 and rMC2. That is alot for someone who's leaderboard points are completely carried by glitches.
