Wow as someone who never played the battle mode for this game, it's interesting to see that blue shell and lightning weren't included in battle mode like in Mario Kart Wii. It's kinda werid how many items weren't included since the only one not included in the wii was the bullet

Michael Echeverria Lucky 7 is definitely there. It also changes if you only have a certain item eqquiped, leading to 7 red shell, 7 bombs, 7 bananas etc...

The blue shell part is interesting, im wondering if theres a way to make another item slot for a another blue shell, but edited to act as it was in battle mode (like a green shell), increase its size and colour it green. Which would make...... the Bowser Shell

Mario Kart Wii Battle Mode featured the Blue Shell & Lightning. The Blue Shell targets the leader of the points & the Lightning will shrink down players but does not pop balloons or give points to the team that used it.

What Lightning would do if it was added: Zap everyone and get +3 no more What bullet would do if it was added: Only go for 15 seconds and you can press out earlier if you wanted to What Blue Shell would do if it was added: It would target the person with the most hits in ballon battle(or in mk8 target shine person,most person with the coins,and most hits in bomb battle)and continuing my sentence... it would target the person with most hits and they would loose all there balloons or the shine or -6 coins and the person who through the Blue Shel would get +3

We had Blue Shells in MKW battle mode and worked well. Don't know why they didn't include them in 7.

They function differently. Wii's is exactly like DS, whereas 7 mixes it with 64 (flight occurs over all gaps, to cut corners, and when preparing to strike the leader, and it runs across the ground on a line that may target the player). Honestly, it wouldn't really be a good idea, especially seeing how hated the item already is.

back in mkw, blue shell would work fine and lightning would work except it wouldn’t give points. bullet bill would freeze in battle.
