They don't have the same music. The took the battle course from Double Dash, but took the music from the DS. The music for the battle course in Double Dash is the same as Bowser's Castle from Double Dash.

Here's what I think why they used the soundtracks from the racetracks as a base for the remix and not the original, it's the course theme. These were remixed to sound frantic and chaotic, the feel you get when playing battle mode. I'd also like to point out Battle Stadium and Mario Kart Stadium, although both sound nothing alike, you can hear some of the note progression.

Well i mean they could have either reused the one from 8 or at least got some new instruments. When they record they don't have them all in the same room at once, they record them separately and then edit them together. Only in very fringe cases are they all in the same room at the same time. Just seems a bit lazy when they are known for putting so much effort into their music.

Remember, the MK8D music shown here is the BATTLE MODE music. The battle course is based off of Sweet Sweet Canyon. The Sweet Sweet Canyon music remains the same. This applies to Dragon Palace as well.

A couple things, 1. For wuhu town, mk7 wasn't the original, wii sports resort was. 2. U forgot to compare lunar colony to mk64 credits.

“N64 Staff Roll” isn’t a race course in Mario Kart 64. The point is to compare music that belonged to old courses in the Mario Kart series. Also, while I agree that Lunar Colony bears strong resemblance to the old credits theme, they’re not the same tune. They merely sound the same, this is likely because it’s believed that the Mario Kart 64 composer, Kenta Nagata, likely worked on that track. He was, after all the Mario Kart 8 (and Deluxe) sound director and worked on a few of the arrangements himself.

The theme of 3DS Wuhu Town is the battle theme of Nitro Battle Maps of MK7 and not Maka Wuhu. The theme of GCN Luigi's Mansion is the battle theme of MKDD and not DS Luigi's Mansion, you did a BIG MISTAKE. Maybe you should say that the themes of these tracks are remixes of another track, because you did all wrong in this video.

MK8DX used the music from the DS version of Luigi's Mansion. But the battle track is from Double Dash. So calling that a big mistake would be inaccurate due to him acctually using the correct music. And for the point of Maka Wuhu (and Wuhu Loop) is more of tracking the theme MK8DX used over time instead of what music the battle arena used in each respective game.

My thoughts on these songs Sweet Sweet Kingdom: Both songs are HORRIBLE, but the MK8 Deluxe one is a wee bit more pleasant to listen to (but I still hate it). Dragon Palace: The original was awesome, but MK8 deluxe’s version wins. Wuhu Town: The remix is HORRENDOUS compared to the original. Luigi’s Mansion: MK8 Deluxe version sounds cooler, but the original is good too. Battle Course 1: The remix wins by a mile. Urchin Underpass: The original just don’t got dat energy that the MK8 Deluxe version brings. In other words the remix is better.
