The whole bagging nerf is greatly overexaggerated. Once I learned the nuances of the nerf, it was easy to work around it so I could still bag on bagging tracks. It's just a little less convenient now. Good racing skill, track knowledge and item management are still some of the most important factors to claim victory in Mario Kart.

At 3:43, how did you get a star, bullet and golden? I thought you only get 2 normal items when going through the set?

It wasn’t the same set. When you back up and get another item from the same set, that’s when you get normal items.
