That's how item balancing in the game works. This could actually be used as a legitimate strategy to do good in online races in MK8, because it hands you good items that you can use to your advantage to make a comeback.

Yeah, the battery life and feel of the pro controller feels amazing to me. Used it on the plane for a 8 hour flight and it felt comfortable. I think the Joy Cons are good if there is a special color/edition you want or you intend on playing with many people

+Damon Drummond Jr They have ~20 hours of battery life, so it's hardly noticeable. The only way to charge them without other accessories is putting the Switch and the joycons in the dock.

It will give you the best items if you are last and depending on how far away you are the the person infront of you. First place also gets tons of red, green, blue shells depending on how far you are from 2nd place

I have problems getting them to charge sometimes, I'll charge my pro controller and the joycons all night and in morning, pro is full and joy cons are at like 15 percent

the console has to be in sleep mode in order to charge.....if you fully shut it off completely it wont charge the joycons. plus the switchs battery has to be over 50% i think or just in the dock
