Mario Kart 8 -- First impressions

Here I am, nearly 10 years later, 96 courses later, 8 new battle tracks with 5 new battle modes later, too many new chaarcters later, a bunch of mii suits later, new features later, better looking title screen later... I never played Wii U 8 (as my own) yet I'm super nostalgic for these times, I wasn't even part of this. I'm just too invested in 8DX now, I absolutely love how this game started and what it became, what a magical journey! (edit: also the time without a minimap on-screen is... A wierd one :p)

Kart (as in one of the types of vehicles in the game) is spelt with a K.

Ya know, I thought about it - and … no. It just seems like crass product placement to me. But I *have* preordered the two other MK8 DLCs Nintendo will be releasing, with new karts, characters, and tracks, and will definitely be playing those when they come out!

Ooh - tough choice! If you're someone to play a game through once and be done with it, get SM3DW - it'll last longer. If, OTOH, you like playing a game over and over until you master it, get Mario Kart. Both are great multiplayer games, but of the two, only Mario Kart supports online play. But really, you can't go wrong either way!

@@enriquetitan06 I'm not sure why I'd get the 4K model, since the Switch doesn't support that level of output. AFAIK, the 60S is more aimed at live streaming, which I don't do.
