1) In SA (Sunshine Airport when you fly you see koopa-shaped rocks like in the N64 Koopa beach. 2) in BDD (Bone dry dunes when you fly in the upper piece you can see vases, on them you can see a SMB1 level resembling a koopa, a goomba, some coins and semi solid bushes. 3)In SA (again) if you wait till the end of the start cutscene you hear some noises talking about some airlines this is the same with other tracks like electrodrome. 4)In BDD (Once again) If you look at the mats at right side at the start there is a yellow one with an angry sun (From SMB3) 5)In BP (Baby Park) there is lots of rides including a rollercoaster, a swinging boat and poochy 6)In MC (Mario Circuit) At the right at the start, you can see a standard kart. 7)In MC (The other one there is a ramp lifted aproxamantly 45 degrees upright it is held by ultra hands (Made by Nintendo in the late 80s or 90s. 8) in DK jungle you can see DK barrels resembling Diddy Kong's barrel from DKC Tropical freeze/ Returns. 2:44 (I don't know if this has been pointed out yet) Did you notice that this track is in the Flower Cup? It says "Flower Cup" in the top right corner. That means that Super Marine World/Sub Coaster/Water Park and Toad Harbor are in the Flower Cup!

I also do think they are adding another cup because they revealed 12 nitro courses, so that leaves 4 courses unaccounted for. 1 is probably Rainbow Raod and another one Bowser's Castle. So if they add another cup, that means there are still 8 courses yet to be revealed. I really do think they there is going to be at least 40 tracks

I figured out something, GX. Maybe the reason that wheelies are cosmetic and inside drifting will be nerfed is to encourage the use of Karts. Once people mastered Bikes in MKWii, no one ever used a Kart. With the 2 being roughly equal, there wouldn't be so many people just choosing bikes. It also could interfere with Kart/Bike customization, as they would have the same parts and wheels, but one would somehow drift inward, and if paired up otherwise, would drift outward.

Way back in the e3 demo in mario circuit you can see banners by peach's castle. When I zoomed in a saw the mushroom symbol. I know that it could just be a random mushroom on a banner but usually when you see a flower,star, mushroom, etc it is what cup it is in!

6:05 Look at Toad and DK's karts. Aren't those the same? Throughout all the trailers, there are several characters of varying weights who use that kart. That could mean that either: 1. Karts aren't limited to specific weight classes. or 2. That's a basic kart usable by any character.

3:27 Not to nitpick something else about that topic, but that picture looks like a size comparison chart. See the lines on the side giving reference to the height measurement? Since Goomboss is quite a bit larger than Mario, and that goomba is the appropriate size for a normal goomba, I think it's pretty safe to say that it isn't Goomboss. 3:39 If you look in the background you can see a sailboat, and a small island, and a little beyond that, a much larder one. The islands look like they have a similar profile to Dolphin Shoal, but that's a little difficult to tell.

The whole thing with the weight classes for the Koopalings seems off, though. I would HIGHLY doubt Ludwig would be lightweight, because he's pretty large, and in Super Mario World, he can shake the ground when landing. Not only that, but compare the official artwork the Koopalings are all seen in different karts than in the video, and some of the karts have been seen on different weight class characters. I believe that it's going to be similar to how Mario Kart 7 was where ANY weight class character can use ANY kart, but the weight changes the stats of the vehicle. Like in the artwork, Ludwig is seen in a kart that Bowser drove during the demo at E3. I think this confirms that karts aren't limited to weight class.

Yeah it seems GameXplain forgotten that Customization is back from MK7, shoot, look at the wheels, a number of them are back from 7 including the Standard, Monster, Roller and Slim + some new wheels. That should've been a dead giveaway that customization is back. Plus yeah, it doesn't make sense for Roy to be lightweight, he has to be either a Cruiser or Heavyweight, and Ludwig is the same size as Mario so he would at least be a Medium Weight.

In one scene in the trailer (10:17 in this vid) one of the Koopalings is seen throwing a fireball despite a fire flower being in his hand and the item not being confirmed yet. It's strange that Nintendo put this in the trailer without actually confirming this yet, and I'm surprised I'm the only one that noticed it so far.

If the water park is called or based off the super marine world sign ( or dolphin shoals is based off it), there is another sign that says burning DK. So maybe there is a stage called DK volcano (plus the shop that says Peach and Daisy's royal patisserie has a track based off it)

I wonder if theirs another Direct this month, or just simply another trailer, I'm kinda hoping they show off more of the games mechanics. I can live with Inward Drift if they put it back (I'm expecting Bikes to have better Acceleration and handling than Karts while Buggies have higher Top Speed and Weight and Karts are the middle ground), but I'm glad Wheelies are just cosmetic this time. Also I'm curious about that Stand-Still Mini-Turbo, which really threw the balance out of whack by ignoring the Acceleration stat, especially applies to Heavyweights as the whole deal with them is that their supposed to be slow getting back up to speed. Lastly I'm curious whether it'll be just 3 weight classes,or 5 like in 7. Cool thing is that the Nintendo UK Twitter has been slowly showing off some of the tracks in pics.

From what I've played, in MKWii if you're dragging an item and you're hit by a red, green shell or banana you lose the item you're dragging, not necessarily in your inventory whole.

The koopalings using different karts doesn't mean they are the same class has other characters. It's pretty much confirmed that kart customization is back, thanks to various karts having different wheels, so it's safe to assume everyone can use every kart body (has seen by Donkey Kong, Mario and Toad using the ATV).

In the Koopaling trailer not this video, at 0:17 there is a Super Acorn like decal on Luigi's vehicle on Tick Tock clock, maybe hinting at a new item. At 0:57 there are two stone pillars underwater which have Sub Coaster written on them. And at 1:58 there is a piranha plant bobbing to the beats behind Roy near the finish line of Klub Koopaling.

If you go onto the Nintendo website and search Mariokart 8 and click it, it will give you a little bar with some screenshots and one video. If you go to the fifth screenshot (after clicking the arrow) (it should be Wario and the Female Koopaling climbing up an antigravity U-Turn on Sub Coaster), look closely at the submarine. You can clearly see that it is riding on two wheels in anti-gravity mode. Does this mean that these subs are all throughout the track? It's just a small detail, but I thought it was worth pointing out. Anyway, SOOOOO EXCITED FOR THIS GAAAME!

Great review! Always so detailed...the only think i cud think to maybe comment on was Luigi's kart not having a propeller. My thinking is that his kart may have some sort of jet turbine thingy. Similar to what a jet ski has instead of a propeller. It does look like his engine might work like that but I'm not sure! Just a thought! Great video! :)

Hey GameXplain, a bit off-topic but about a new item idea how about the Special Crown? It could be used for potential special items as seen in Double Dash, or have it like Lucky Seven or something even more powerful than Bullet Bill. The reason why I came up with Special Cup Crown is because it is the only item on the MK cup list not to be used as an item yet after the Super Leaf and Fire Flower used in MK7.

At the beginning of the trailer of tick tock clock you can clearly see in the background that mario (or another character) has 3 mushrooms revolving around him. I do not know if this was in an early mario kart game or if we already knew this but that may enter some new mechanics into the game. Such as a person might be able to run into him and steal a mushroom. Also in the trailer with the classic corse when Toad if riding up the slanted part you can see there is a pit there. Its not much but I think it is hinting towards the corse moving while you are on it. I know this is possible because the ghost mansion at E3 had moving walls you raced on. And in mario cart wii rainbow road the track was moving then too. This is just hinting more at the things the tracks can do. Maybe even change directing for example if a track has three parts another piece of the track might move to skip one part and go to the next. So I am really interested in seeing what Nintendo has to offer with these tracks. btw if you mention my suggestions I will die up happiness ;)

I think that the Water Park course is still called 'Sub Coaster' since on the 'Caroshell', it also says Sub Coaster, on the white shell. I doubt it would have it on two rides if it were just one.

Regarding the Sub Coaster track...the u boat might not hit the racers but I guess it might limit your vision in some way or makes it so that you cannot use certain items (e.g. if someone uses a lightning it won't hit you as the u boat acts as lightning rod) At 0:50 you can see several banners or curtains in the background. While there is a green and pink one matching Larry and Roy there is also a blue and a yellow one. Yellow might be referring to Wendy. Blue is a little tricky, though but I guess it matches Ludwig as his face is also green, thus hardly distinguishable when compared to Larry, so they took his unique and easily recognizable hair to colour the banner after. So I wouldn't say only those two Koopalings own the club.

I have something to point out (Analysis part 3), since I know MK:DD, MK Wii and MK7 at some the first races of each cup had a celebration meaning the start of a new cup, in the E3 demo of Mario Circuit the starting line had comfetti floating arround wich Mario circuit may be a starrting race in whatever cup is in it, it also goes the same for larry ligths

i think you missed something on the pic of dolphin shools at 4:45 when you start metioning about the dash on the left of the dash there is a ramp which has a blue thing on top this could mean that there are two seprate paths you could take or like in mario kart wii you will be able to do a trick on the blue dash or of coure you it could just be an anti gravity section

As from your previous analyses, I found that some tracks are themed to two characters, such as the Sweet Sweet Canyon which is themed to Princess Peach and Princess Daisy, the water park course is themed to Wario and Waluigi and the nightclub course which is themed to Larry Koopa and Roy Koopa, which is very interesting. This might give some hint that the two-player coop from Double Dash might return. Just my thought only :)

I think another reason for the ledges in Tick Tock Clock is because in Mario Kart 7 you can do tricks off ledges and as shown by Morton, you can do this in Mario Kart 8, hence the need for these random ledges.

i found 2 things one the waterfall at 5:42 might be the waterfall in the stage or might be a landmark from your last cool bits from mario kart double dash and 2nd at 7:30 look closely at luigis car you youll see ptt like the one from the airport stage
