To all you guys trash talking mkt out there Yes the offline part is *very* P2W (I’ve been f2p since day 1 and it’s rough) But the online saves it for me Because of the community being what it is, we have managed to create a mogi lounge for mkt with over 500 players, as well as clans and wars The P2W aspect is taken out because frenzies are turned off, we use a 2 item room setting where every character gives 2 item slots The courses in the game are quite fun on multiplayer, and it feels much closer to other Mario kart games

That's what I felt about Mario Kart Tour as well. I am a f2p w/o Gold pass day one and the best way I can enjoy tours is to immediately hop on Multiplayer, and then after day 10 (Daily log in) I do all the fun Bonus challenges.

Say what you will about the Mario kart 8 booster pass, but the Tour remake of that track coming to 8 is by far the highlight. Even better than Coconut mall IMO, it fits perfectly

Honestly if there was anything I liked about Tour it was the track designs. So glad the first wave of tracks are on a proper Mario Kart game now, especially with what they did to Tokyo Blur and Paris

@@skylinegtr3454 Correct. There are differences, but they're *definitely* ported... which was extremely disappointing when I played the first DLC pack on a friend's Switch. They don't fit the quality of the existing MK8D tracks *at all.* It definitely seems like they were simply ported to Switch to capitalize on Switch's consumer base, rather than improve upon them to fit into MK8D's art style and vastly-superior quality.

@@aidenemerson670 For the MK8D version, Tony would be 100% correct. I was super excited to get this track in MK8D... but *after actually playing it,* I can attest they got rid of the dense-foggy atmosphere that originally gave this track a unique feel. I actually prefer how it looked in World Tour because it kept the original ambiance more in-tact. The MK8D version has sunny weather with well-defined shadows everywhere, while *also* feels like it's near factories creating a toxic haze or something... it's just unsettling lol. I'm fine with the cave and air parts, but it also gets rid of most of the corridors *and* with the original atmosphere gone on top of it, might as well be a brand new track like Tony correctly stated.

Luis River pretty much. The AI are okay to deal with at 50CC, but 100CC or above and it feels like they was programmed by the creators of Dark souls. Their average speed seems to ALWAYS be faster than yours despite being at a predetermined speed. The AI is broken by the poorly implemented Item roulette as they usually tend to get overpowered items a majority of the time, making the race a NIGHTMARE to complete when red shells and other shit hit you every 5 seconds. The AI will not relent in beating you down, and if one or more of the CPU's can throw bowser shells. Then i feel bad for you. This games biggest problem really is the AI as they seem to be extremely broken in physics. Theres A difference between fairly challenging and just plain cruel ya know.

There was absolutely no need for the dead trees, the longer tunnel, the Swoopers and diamonds in the tunnel, and the glider ramp with the broken bridge before the turn around the lake. Those hills should have been there too at the first 3 turns.
