Great Job! A guide how you set all of this up would be nice. How did you align all the dolphin instances so nicely? Aren’t that all separate windows?

I’ve been working on and off on a guide in my free time. To answer your question, they are indeed separate windows. I wrote a Windows program that removes the window “decorations” (title bar, drop shadows, etc.) and auto-arranges the windows for me. github.com/SMarioMan/ArrangeInstances

@ Many thanks for your response and sharing your programs for windows arrangement, Server preset etc. I am looking forward towards your guide.

damn, i've been trying to do the same for quite some time now. Been looking into the different WFC / DWC Server emulators, including CoWFC and got some things to work via LAN. I experimented with Ubuntu VMs and even Docker and LXC Containers (sometimes stuff worked, sometimes it didn't) - but I'm not satisfied yet, because my setup is kinda unstable. I know there's a LAN mod, but i only got it to work on a real wii - emulated consoles didn't work with the mod unfortunately. How'd you do it? Did you use one of the servers and spoofed DNS or anything else? I'm really happy for you, that you got it to work Also: how's performance? Did you slow down the emulation speed?

This video uses DWC server emulator in an Ubuntu VM running on VMWare. You can use a copy of my working server image here: github.com/SMarioMan/wii-online-server The LAN mod should now work on emulator if you use a recent enough version of Dolphin, but you cannot use multiple emulator instances on one machine in this case, because they all try to use the same port to communicate. There is some DNS configuration needed to make this work. I cover how to do this in Windows in the VM repo’s README. Performance is virtually flawless if you have good enough hardware. When I used an Intel Core i7-6700K, there was a lot of slowdown with 12 players. With my current AMD Ryzen 5900X, there’s barely a hitch even with 12 players. Best of luck with your efforts to make this more stable for your own setup!

Is there a tutorial you followed, or can you make one?

I put this together using a variety of guides and tools, some of which I even made myself to streamline the process. I have had plans to make a comprehensive guide for a long time now, but the work hasn’t been completed yet.

How did you get 10 wiimotes connected to your PC?

I actually used 10 GameCube controllers. This was accomplished using a bunch of GameCube controller adapters and a piece of custom software I wrote: github.com/SMarioMan/gamecube-adapter-unlimited
