Online works on mario kart wii you just need to download CTGP as it will come with custom tracks and a 24-7 custom online server called wiimfii.

At the warios goldmine glitch you can do it with dying if u respawn on the wooden part above the pipe Then u have to activate a Checkpoint by hitting the fence and drive to the finishline and your lap will count. The only problen with this method is u cant do it twice because u died and dont have mushrooms anymore wich u have to have .

Andy's explanation for the Grumble Volcano glitch was wrong. It happens because there are three types of checkpoints. 00, which is the starting line checkpoint, 0x (x is a number, so the checkpoints have to be passed in a specific order), which are checkpoints that you need to pass in order to make the lap count, and FF, which are checkpoints that are only used for the places in the race (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Basically, when you start, you're on lap 0. And when you pass the 00 checkpoint of the track, you start lap 1. The 01 checkpoint of the track is a major checkpoint. When you pass it, it activates the other 0x checkpoints. Using the rock glitch, you pass the 00 checkpoint and the last checkpoint (the game has a failsafe for that, so you still have to pass the last checkpoint), but you skip the 01 checkpoint, meaning that all the 0x checkpoints aren't activated, and therefore the game doesn't realize that you're behind the finish line, and when you pass the last checkpoint, the game's like "WTF" and thinks you completed a lap, therefore moving on to lap 2.

In the Grumble Volcano course, there is a much easier trick (but doesn't save much time...) when you get out of the vulcano, after passing the 4 circular platforms, there is a big vulcano on the right side, and you can use a mushroom to jump on its side then continue and land on the other side of the lava lake
